Termiticide flex plug system and method
The present application includes a system configured to simplify the application of plugs into holes created in concrete slabs during a termiticide treatment process. The system includes a flexible plug for insertion into the hole one or more times. A plug tip is coupled to a tool and selectively adjusted to a particular depth. A locating element is included to prevent the over protruding of the plug tip in the hole. The tool is used by the user to insert the plug tip into the hole wherein the depth is governed by the location of the locating element. The plug tips may be interchanged or adjusted in depth along with the locating element. Once the plug has been located properly, a patch is then applied to the remaining hole.
Termite Baiting Assembly
An assembly for termite baiting beneath a ground surface, the assembly incorporating a barrier plate positioned upon the ground surface; a thermal shadow cast by the barrier plate, the thermal shadow having a lateral periphery, wherein the casting of the thermal shadow extends the thermal shadow downwardly into the ground from the barrier plate; a plurality of pine wood stakes having upper ends, the wooden stakes extending into the ground from the barrier plate and being positioned by the barrier plate at the thermal shadow's lateral periphery; a plurality of mounting caps interconnecting the wooden stakes' upper ends and the barrier plate; and a termiticide body buried beneath the barrier plate and within the thermal shadow.
Pest control system and method
A system and method of monitoring and controlling cellulose-consuming pests in a predetermined location, providing for the use of an assembly that has a main body with a cylindrical upper portion and a lower portion continuously co-axially formed with the upper portion. The lower portion is formed as blades meeting at a lowermost point and defining a sharp bottom point that helps penetrate the soil in the selected location. A plurality of cellulose-containing bait units are detachably fitted in the lower portion and the upper portion. The bait units fitted in the lower portion are retained by the blade portions, which engage radial slots of the bait units. A moisture-retaining member is positioned in the upper portion above an uppermost of the bait units. A removable cap frictionally fittingly engages with the upper portion. The cap has an opening allowing water to be poured into the main body to moisten the bait units and make them more attractive to foraging insects. If consumption of the cellulose material is detected, the bait units may be substituted with a bait material containing poisonous substance. The pests consume the bait and carry the poison to the colonies.
TERMITE PREFERRED RESOURCE COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS
The present invention relates to termite preferred resource compositions and methods. In embodiments, the present invention is directed to termite preferred resource compositions including materials from a Sabal palm tree material (Sabalpalmetto; Family Arecaceae) and a pesticide toxic to one or more species of termites. In additional embodiment's, the present invention is directed to a method of creating a termite assurance program to limit termite damage to a structure including the steps of providing an initial investigation of termite detection, damage, or activity for a structure; placing a termite station comprising a housing, at least one entry point in the housing allowing for ingress and egress of a termite, and materials from a Sabal palm tree contained within the housing in an area proximate the structure, and inspecting the termite station for live termites or evidence of termite activity after it is placed.
COMPOSITIONS, DEVICES AND METHODS FOR CONTROL OF PESTS USING VAPOR ACTIVITY
Devices and methods for the control of pests using the vapors of a pesticidal and/or pest control composition are disclosed. Compositions, devices and methods for the selective control of pests while not harming one or more beneficial insects are also disclosed. In some embodiments, the pests are bed bugs, fleas, lice, ticks, or the like. In some embodiments, the pests are varroa mites and the beneficial insects are honey bees.
METHOD FOR PREPARING AN OPTIMUM DENSITY TERMITE BAIT COMPOSITION
A composition in compacted form for use for termite monitoring and control comprises a cellulose material which may be purified cellulose or micro-crystalline cellulose as a base bait, the composition being compacted to an optimum density of not less than approximately 1.033 g/cc. Also disclosed is a method for monitoring and controlling termite infestations which comprises the steps of a) preparing such a composition; b) placing the composition in a bait station; c) monitoring the station at periodic time intervals for termites; and d) upon observing termite infestation in the bait station, replacing the above composition with a bait composition containing a termite killing agent.
Pest detection using sensor with textured surface
A pest detection device including a capacitive sensor having a plurality of traces that can be capacitively sensed using self-capacitance or mutual capacitance measurements. The sensor including conductive shield traces to facilitate a number of sensing applications. The sensor including a coated portion to facilitate crawling of pests over the sensing area of the circuit board.

Monitoring camera with repellent sheet adhered to tip end flange
A monitoring camera includes a housing having a tip end cylindrical portion in which a lens is disposed, the tip end cylindrical portion being covered with a front glass, an eave member that is provided on an upper surface of the housing and that has a tip end flange portion protruding forward from the front glass, and a repellent member that is provided at the tip end flange portion and contains a drug for repelling a pest such as a spider.
COLLAR ASSEMBLY
The present invention resides in a collar assembly to impede ingress of insects through a concrete slab, the collar assembly comprising two or more base members; and at least one flange member slideably engageable with the two or more base members. The present invention alleviates the problems associated with ingress of insects through a space between pipes and a concrete slab.
