Using artificial intelligence (AI) to detect conditions conducive to pests
In some examples, a sensor node is mounted, using two metal fasteners, to a wood item located indoors. The sensor node measures, using a thermometer, an ambient temperature of a location in which the wood item is located, measures, using a hygrometer, an ambient humidity of the location, measures, by an ohmmeter, a resistance of the wood item between the two metal fasteners, determines, based on the resistance, a moisture content of the wood item, and determines, based on the ambient temperature, the ambient humidity, and the moisture content, that conditions are conducive to pest activity. The sensor node captures audio data. using a microphone coupled to the wood item, determines that the audio data indicates pest activity, and sends a notification of pest activity. The notification includes the ambient temperature, the ambient humidity, the moisture content, and the audio data.
Seamless capsule for extermination of harmful insects
The present invention provides a seamless capsule for exterminating insect pests, particularly the capsule effective for termites, which hardly affects an ecological system other than the insect pests, such as a human being and domestic animals and useful insects around the human being, has an excellent safety and an excellent transporting rate by insect pests, particularly termites and has an improved exterminating efficiency per number of capsules transported or per unit time, and a method of exterminating insect pests by using the seamless capsule. The present invention relates to a seamless capsule for exterminating insect pests, wherein the seamless capsule imitates an egg of an insect pest and the seamless capsule comprises a content material to be enclosed and a shell film material layer including the content material therein, wherein an active ingredient for exterminating insect pests is contained in the content material and/or the shell film material layer, an egg recognition pheromone is coated on the surface of the seamless capsule, and the seamless capsule has a surface roughness (Ra) of 0.005 to 5 m.
PESTICIDAL TAPE FOR CONTROLLING CRAWLING PESTS
In a tape for controlling crawling pests, on the first side (S1) is a carrier layer having a multitude of vertically extending structures, and on the opposite side (S2) is a means for attaching the tape to a surface. At least the first side (S1) is impregnated with a composition of A) 0.1 to 45% by weight (based on the total of A plus B) of one or more insecticides and B) 99.9 to 55% by weight (based on the total of A plus B) of an (meth)acrylate binder of one or more homo- or copolymer having units derived from one or more acrylates and/or methacrylates.
Techniques for Maintaining Palatability of a Bait Material in a Pest Control Device
A termite control bait container includes an upper end portion opposite a lower end portion. The bait container includes a chamber containing a termite bait. The lower end portion includes an air-trapping pocket below at least a portion of the bait to reduce intrusion of water through the lower end portion when installed in a selected orientation at least partially below ground.
Pest control above-ground system and method
A system and method of monitoring and controlling cellulose-consuming pests in a predetermined location above ground level or in the walls of buildings, such as on or in interior or exterior walls of residential or commercial buildings, aboard boats and watercraft, directly on infested support members like beams, studs, and joists, attached to landscape features like timbers, fences, and sheds, and on infested trees. The system is meant to be an attractive system to the termites, rather than an interceptor system like the present art. A plurality of cellulose-containing bait units are removably placed in the assembly. A moisture-retaining member is positioned in the upper portion above an uppermost of the bait units. A removable cap frictionally fittingly engages with the upper portion. The cap has an opening allowing liquid, such as water, to be poured into the main body to moisten the bait units and make them more attractive to foraging insects. If consumption of the cellulose material is detected, the bait units may be substituted with a bait material containing poisonous substance. The pests consume the bait and carry the poison to the colonies.
NETWORKED PEST CONTROL SYSTEM
A pest control device system includes a plurality of pest control devices and a data collector. The system may further include the data collector in the form of a gateway that is connected to a data management server via a computer network along with other gateways in corresponding pest control device groups. Each pest control device includes a pest sensor and a wireless communication circuit to transmit information from the corresponding sensor. The devices also configure to define a local wireless communication network that can relay the information from one to the next and ultimately to the data collector.
IMPROVED TERMITE MONITORING AND CONTROL APPARATUS AND METHODS OF USING SAME
An improved termite monitoring and detection system which in the preferred form utilises a first bulk attractant and a second smaller portion of attractant, whereupon consumption of the smaller portion activates a short travel biased trigger mechanism to create a detection signal without disturbing the termites as they continue to consume the bulk attractant. A variety of electronic and electrical features are optionally included which facilitate remote monitoring, optional remote application of termiticide and multi-party interfacing. The system also enables third party bulk collection of termite activity data and provides a system which ensures compliance with agreed monitoring and treatment protocols.

TERMITICIDE FLEX PLUG SYSTEM AND METHOD
The present application includes a system configured to simplify the application of plugs into holes created in concrete slabs during a termiticide treatment process. The system includes a flexible plug for insertion into the hole one or more times. A plug tip is coupled to a tool and selectively adjusted to a particular depth. A locating element is included to prevent the over protruding of the plug tip in the hole. The tool is used by the user to insert the plug tip into the hole wherein the depth is governed by the location of the locating element. The plug tips may be interchanged or adjusted in depth along with the locating element. Once the plug has been located properly, a patch is then applied to the remaining hole.
