Load guiding arrangement

A load guiding arrangement realized for mounting to a crane, which load guiding arrangement comprises a number of load guides, wherein a load guide comprises a guide wire extending from a lower level of the crane to an upper level of the crane; a bridging connector realized to bridge a gap between the guide wire and a control wire, which bridging connector is free to travel along the guide wire and the control wire according to a vertical displacement of a load; and a control wire extending from a lower level of the crane, through the bridging connector to a lifting connector for connecting to the load (4), and through the bridging connector again to an upper level of the crane is provided.

WATER VEHICLE HAVING A CRANE FOR LIFTING LOADS

A watercraft may include a crane for lifting loads. The crane may include a tower and a boom that is rotatble with respect to the tower. The tower may be positioned inside the outer contour of the watercraft so as to minimize the profile of the watercraft on radar. The watercraft may include a superstructure within which the tower may be disposed. The superstructure may include planar outer walls that are obtuse relative to a horizontal plane. A rotary bearing may be utilized to connect the boom to the tower and permit the boom to rotate relative to the tower. Further, when the boom is in a rest position, a lower edge of the boom may be positioned 10 cm or less above the crane deck.”

Double jib slewing pedestal crane

A double jib slewing pedestal crane includes a main jib and a secondary jib, and a secondary jib positioning device to support and position the secondary jib with respect to the main jib and actuate the pivotal movement of the secondary jib. The secondary jib positioning device includes a secondary jib positioning cable; a spoke structure fixed to the secondary jib and extending radially outward; a tension chain connected at one end to the secondary jib positioning cable and at the other end to the secondary jib and/or to the spoke structure, wherein the spoke structure is adapted to support the tension chain.

An improved knuckle boom crane apparatus provides a supportive base and a frame attached to the base, the frame including a cabin with an interior. A prime mover is supported upon the frame. A main boom is pivotally attached to the frame at a first boom end portion, the main boom having a second end portion. A jib boom is provided having first and second end portions, the jib boom first end portion being pivotally attached to the main boom second end portion, the jib boom second end portion being a free end portion. A main block is attached to the main boom and depending from the main boom second end portion. An auxiliary block is attached to the jib boom and depending from the jib boom second end portion. A main block parking area is provided next to the connection of main boom and jib boom that enables the main block to be parked when using the auxiliary block of the jib boom. The parking area enables the jib boom auxiliary block to lift a selected package without dismantling of the main block. The jib boom articulates relative to the main boom with a specially configured rack gear and pinion gear arrangement or interface.

MARINE LIFTING APPARATUS

A catamaran lifting apparatus is disclosed for lifting objects in a marine environment. The apparatus includes first and second vessels that are spaced apart during use. A first frame spans between the vessels. A second frame spans between the vessels. The frames are spaced apart and connected to the vessels in a configuration that spaces the vessels apart. The first frame connects to the first vessel with a universal joint and to the second vessel with a hinged connection. The second frame connects to the second vessel with a universal joint and to the first vessel with a hinged or pinned connection. Each of the frames provides a space under the frame and in between the barges that enables a package to be lifted and/or a marine vessel to be positioned in between the barges and under the frames. In this fashion, an object that has been salvaged from the seabed can be placed upon the marine vessel that is positioned in between the barges and under the frames.
