BRAKE DEVICE FOR ELEVATOR AND AN ELEVATOR SYSTEM
An elevator braking device and an elevator system are provided by the present disclosure. The elevator braking device includes: a fixed frame; a floating bracket, which is disposed on the axial guide of the fixed frame and movable along the axial guide; a movable plate supported by the floating bracket, the movable plate having a second friction plate on a second side of the brake disc; an actuator; and a position self-adjusting member which includes a magnetic portion to act on the magnetic member on the floating bracket such that after the braking state is released, the floating bracket tends to move towards a balanced position, thereby reducing a difference between a first gap G1 between the first friction plate and the brake disc and a second gap G2 between the second friction plate and the brake disc.

LIFTING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR STARTING UP THE HOISTING GEAR OF SUCH A LIFTING DEVICE
The present invention relates to a lifting device for example in the form of a crane such as a tower crane, with a hoisting gear comprising a hoisting cable which runs off from a drum that can be driven by a hoisting gear drive, and a hoisting gear brake for holding the hoisting cable in a braked position. The invention furthermore relates to a method for starting up the hoisting gear of such a lifting device from the braked position in which the hoisting gear brake holds a hoisting load, wherein a starting torque is built up by a hoisting gear drive against the closed hoisting gear brake, and the hoisting gear brake is released upon or after reaching the starting torque. According to the invention it is proposed that when the hoisting gear brake is closed, the current hoisting load is detected by means of a load detection device and the starting torque is adjusted by the hoisting gear controller with reference to the detected current hoisting load such that the hoisting force provided by the starting torque of the hoisting gear corresponds to the detected, current hoisting load.

METHOD FOR DIAGNOSIS AND/OR MAINTENANCE OF A BRAKE OF A TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM, SOFTWARE PROGRAM, AND BRAKE APPARATUS
A method for diagnosis and/or maintenance of a brake configured to apply braking force to a hoisting machine of a transportation system includes controlling the brake to start a brake control action, e.g. an opening and/or a closing action of the brake; monitoring the brake to detect a response of the brake to the brake control action, wherein in case of the response the response is detected in a predefined manner; measuring a brake operating time interval from a first point in time of starting of the brake control action until a second point in time of monitoring the brake to detect the response; and, if either the response has not been detected until the brake operating time interval reaches and/or exceeds a predetermined threshold or the response has been detected after the brake operating time interval reaches and/or exceeds the predetermined threshold, establishing an information indicating that an operation of the brake should be modified. A computer program realizing the method and a brake apparatus configured to execute the method are also disclosed.
ELEVATOR BRAKING DEVICE, POWERHEAD AND METHODS
An overspeed brake system for use in an elevator powerhead is provided. A brake rotor is attachable to a cable drum to rotate with a cable drum. A brake member selectively engages the brake rotor upon transition of an actuation lever from a first position to a second position. A biasing member acts on the actuation lever to bias the actuation lever from the first position towards the second position. A latch arrangement has a first orientation maintaining the actuation lever in the first position and a second orientation releasing the actuation lever for transitioning from the first position to the second position. The latch arrangement transitions from the first orientation to the second orientation when a speed sensing arrangement senses that the rotational speed of the cable drum is at least a predetermined rotational speed.
