Lift arrangement of a lift truck with mast damping devices and lift truck

A lift arrangement of a lift truck, especially a forklift truck, has a lift mast defining a z-axis. The lift mast includes a first mast section and a second mast section. Damping elements made from elastic material are provided on the first mast section and/or the second mast section preventing a hard impact of the second mast section with the first mast section at the run-in end position of the second mast section. The damping elements are configured and arranged in such a manner that, in addition to damping the movement of the second mast section in the direction of the z-axis, the damping elements damp movements of the second mast section in the directions of the x-axis and the y-axis running perpendicularly to the z-axis.

Method and apparatus for loading vessels using rotation

A method and apparatus for rapid loading stacks of items aboard vessels which can include rotating palletized items to depalletize the items, and then placing the items on a lifting robot, lifting the robot and items into the hold of a vessel, removing the items from the robot using a load push lift truck, and then using the load push lift truck to stow the items in a stowage location. The empty robot can be removed from the hold of the vessel and put in a position to receive a another depalletized stack of cartons. In one option the robot has a plurality of fork channels for receiving the blades of a load push lift truck along with receiving the blades or a rotating lift truck.

A pallet transportation apparatus including a pallet support array supported on a pallet transportation chassis for reciprocal motion and comprising pallet supporters that receive and support pallets. A mast assembly is fixed to the chassis and includes guides that support and guide the pallet support array through a reciprocal lifting and lowering motion, causing the pallet support array to lift and lower pallets. A prime mover moves the pallet support array through its reciprocal lifting and lowering motion, and a motion control system schedules the reciprocal lifting and lowering motion of the pallet support array.

A fork lift apparatus is mounted on a truck for picking up a load, placing the load in a traveling position on the truck, and for unloading the load. The apparatus comprises a lift frame, a shaft, a pair of spaced arms secured to the shaft, a cross member spanning between the distal ends of the arms distal and carrying the forks. The cross member is rotatable relative to the support arms. A pair of drive hydraulic cylinders rotates the shaft and thus moves the arms and the load between a loading/unloading position in which the load may be placed on the forks and the traveling position so that the load may be transported by the truck. A self-leveling system is provided for maintaining the load in a substantially level position as it moves between its loading/unloading and traveling positions.
