ANTIMICROBIAL POLYMERS WITH ENHANCED FUNCTIONALITIES
Techniques regarding ionene and/or polyionene compositions with antimicrobial functionalities are provided. For example, one or more embodiments can comprise a chemical compound, which can comprise an ionene unit. The ionene unit can comprise a cation distributed along a degradable backbone. The degradable backbone can comprise a norspermidine structure having a carbonyl group. Also, the ionene unit can have antimicrobial functionality.

Composition and methods for modulation of the octopamine receptor and its homologs
Embodiments of the invention are directed of compositions for activation or inhibition of the Oct2 receptor and uses thereof. The inventors have discovered that the beta adrenergic-like octopamine receptor Oct2 serves as a key signaling molecule for ovulation and recruits protein kinase A and Ca2+/calmodulin-sensitive kinase II as downstream effectors for this activity. Oct2R homozygous mutant females are sterile, and display normal courtship, copulation, sperm storage and post-mating rejection behavior but were unable to lay eggs.

COMPOSITIONS FOR CONTROLLING A PLANT DISEASE
The present application relates to aqueous compositions for controlling a plant disease caused by a phytopathogenic organism, to methods of preparing such compositions and to uses of such compositions, for example for controlling a plant disease caused by a phytopathogenic organism. The aqueous compositions comprise copper ions, phosphorous acid and/or a salt thereof and an effective amount of an amine selected from an alkylamine, an alkanolamine and mixtures thereof. The pH of the compositions is from about 6 to about 10.
