Allomone repulsive and kairomone attractive compositions for controlling arachnids
Composition of allomones and kairomones derived from the uropygeal gland of ducks and chickens are described, as well as methods to treat Arachnids.
Antimicrobial composition
An antimicrobial composition is provided that comprises about 10.0 to about 40.0 wt. % of one or more C.sub.1-8 alcohols, based on the total weight of the antimicrobial composition; and two or more of a surfactant; an enhancer; and a buffer. The pH of the composition is less than or equal to about 6.0 and the composition achieves a microbial log reduction of greater than 4.0 log CFU/ml at a contact time of 1 minute, in accordance ASTM E2783.

A LIQUID ANTI-PATHOGENIC AGRICULTURAL COMPOSITION
A stable, safe and synergistic liquid anti-pathogenic agricultural composition for use as an insecticide, fungicide, nematicide and/or miticide which has a high flash point and an epicuticular wax compatibility. The composition is typically used in foliar applications and/or in irrigation systems. The composition includes at least one alkyl (C.sub.1-C.sub.8) ester of an alkyl (C.sub.12-C.sub.16) acid; at least one anionic surfactant; and at least one nonionic surfactant. A method of preparing one or more anti-pathogenic compositions, and use of the same as a treatment to control pathogens (in diluted form) applied to crops, trees, fruits, vegetables, leaves, stems, roots, seeds, flowers, animals, equipment, stockyards, feedlots, barns, animal housing units, farm buildings or storage areas.
Enhancing the antimicrobial activity of biocides with polymers
Disclosed are compositions comprising a) an antimicrobial agent, which is selected from the group consisting of biocides containing halogen atoms and/or containing phenolic moieties, formic acid, chlorine dioxide, chlorine dioxide generating compounds, dialdehydes; components containing an antimicrobial metal such as antimicrobial silver, and b) a polyamine, especially a polyethylenimine. The polyamine is effective as a booster for the antimicrobial agent.

Compositions and methods with efficacy against spores and other organisms
Compositions and methods for the disinfection of surfaces are provided. The compositions include at least about 40 weight percent of a C.sub.1-6 alcohol, and a primary enhancer selected from protein denaturants. The disinfectant composition is characterized by a pH of less than about 3. Broad spectrum efficacy is achieved, and synergistic activity is exhibited against C. difficile spores.
