The receptacle is refrigerated by the refrigeration unit. The casing is provided with a compartment, located frontally and also refrigerated by a refrigeration unit, configured to contain drinking glasses accessible through an openable front door of the casing.

Vacuum side air vent

A volume of fluid may be received at the air chamber from a fluid source and dispensed to a nozzle. The fluid source may be in fluid communication with the air chamber. The flow may be reversed to draw the fluid to the air chamber and purge air within the air chamber or the fluid to the atmosphere.

Beverage dispensing prevention

There is provided a system comprising a plurality of reusable and portable beverage containers the system further comprising at least one beverage dispensing station adapted to support one of the beverage containers, and connect to the beverage container such that beverage can be dispensed from the container, said beverage dispensing station comprising an identity tag reader configured to read the identity tag of a beverage container, said beverage dispensing station further comprising a wireless network interface, where the beverage dispensing station has dispensing prevention means which prevents a user from dispensing beverage from the dispenser, the system further comprising a server in communication with the beverage dispensing station, said server having stored a dataset comprising the identities of each of the plurality of beverage containers, wherein a beverage container can be flagged, in the dataset, for activation of the be dispensing prevention means, and the system is configured to, when a beverage container is flagged for activation of the beverage dispensing prevention means, activate the dispensing prevention means of the dispensing station.

COLD PLATE PRECHILL CIRCUIT

A cold plate includes a cold plate body. A tubing system is embedded within the cold plate body. The tubing system includes a prechill circuit, a plain water postchill circuit fluidly connected to the prechill circuit, and a carbonated water postchill circuit fluidly connected to the prechill circuit.

OBJECT DETECTION FOR EQUIPMENT CONTROL

A system and method are provided and include an infrared emitter that emits a predetermined pattern of pulses of infrared light and an infrared receiver that detects the predetermined pattern of pulses of infrared light after the predetermined pattern of pulses of infrared light reflect off of a container. A proximity detection module is configured to determine a transmission time when the infrared emitter emits the predetermined pattern of pulses of infrared light, a detection time when the infrared receiver detects the predetermined pattern of pulses of infrared light, an elapsed time between the transmission time and the detection time, and a distance to the container based on the elapsed time. A control module for a dispenser is configured to receive the determined distance from the proximity detection module and to activate the dispenser when the determined distance to the container is less than a predetermined threshold.

Refrigerator and method of controlling the same

Disclosed herein are a refrigerator and method of controlling the same. A refrigerator includes an interface unit configured to receive a command for supplying at least one of water and ice from a user; a weight sensor configured to measure a weight of a container placed on a container supporter; and a controller configured to control a supply of the at least one of water and ice based on a change in weight of the container based on the measured weight of the container.

A apparatus for discharging liquids from deformable containers includes a first holding device for holding a first portion of the container, and a second holding device for holding a second portion of the container, wherein the second portion of the container is spaced from the first portion of the container and wherein the holding devices are arranged such that the container can be arranged at least in sections between the holding devices, and is deformable by a relative movement of one holding device with respect to the other holding device.

Object detection for equipment control

A system and method are provided and include a sensor module and a control module for a dispenser. The sensor module has an infrared emitter that emits infrared light and an infrared receiver that detects the infrared light emitted by the infrared emitter and reflected off of a container. The sensor module determines a time period between emission of the infrared light by the infrared emitter and detection of the infrared light by the infrared receiver and determines a distance to the container based on the determined time period. The control module is configured to receive the determined distance from the sensor module, activate the dispenser when the determined distance to the container is less than the predetermined threshold, and deactivate the dispenser when the determined distance to the container is greater than the predetermined threshold.

SYSTEM AND APPARATUS FOR OPTIMIZING HYDRATION AND FOR THE CONTEXTUAL DISPENSING OF ADDITIVES

Provided are systems, methods, and apparatuses for a portable hydration system including a mechanical or electromechanical mechanism for dispensing additives into a liquid or other solute in a portable container. Such additives include solids, liquid, powders, and gases, and include vitamins, minerals, nutritional supplements, pharmaceuticals, and other consumables. Additives are introduced into the hydration device via closed vessels equipped with RFID tags or similar, capable of transferring data about the vessels' contents to the device. Dispensing is initiated manually by direct user action, automatically by the device, and/or externally through an associated application on a user device. Dispensing is adjustable by contextual factors such as a user's preferences, location, activity, physiologic status, and the like, obtained via APIs to third party applications or through more direct measurements or inputs. Consumption of additives and consumable liquids in the container is measured and monitored, and the data used to generate recommendations.
