DECANTER
20190184346 · 2019-06-20 · ·

A decanter arranged to permit storage of wine or other beverage while isolated from ambient air and employing a variable size beverage storage volume. A valve may control flow past a piston as the piston is moved relative to a container to adjust a size of the beverage storage volume.

GRAVITY-ORIENTED ONE-WAY VALVE CONTAINER APPARATUS AND METHOD
20190168950 · 2019-06-06 ·

A gravity-oriented one-way valve container apparatus and method for separation of air from fluids providing an internal bladder, a one-way valve, and air vents allowing automatic opening of the container upon tilting and automatic closing of the container upon return to an upright position, thereby preventing the entry of contaminating air.

Fluid Dispenser
20180290875 · 2018-10-11 ·

A free-standing, portable apparatus or appliance adapted for receiving a first container such as a pliable plastic bag containing a supply of a fluid such as breastmilk; the appliance adapted for storing, cooling, and/or heating the first container and the fluid contained in the first container; the appliance adapted for dispensing the supply of fluid from the first container; and the appliance adapted for dispensing warm fluid such as breastmilk from the first container into a second container such as a standard baby bottle for instant feeding of the fluid such as breastmilk to an infant; and a process for dispensing warm fluid such as breastmilk from the first container.

WINE DISPENSER HAVING A SLIDABLE POURING NECK THAT PROTECTS UNPOURED WINE FROM OXIDATION BY PREVENTING AIR FROM ENTERING THE DISPENSER WHEN PARTIALLY FULL

A wine dispenser is disclosed that protects unpoured wine from oxidation due to exposure to air within the dispenser. The dispenser includes a dispenser body having a piston disposed within, the piston being of a weight so as to move toward the dispensing end of the dispenser body when the dispenser is tilted downward, causing wine to be dispensed via a dispensing assembly. The dispensing assembly includes a lid having a wine flow channel that provides a path for wine to flow out of the dispenser body, and a unidirectional flow valve that is biased in a closed air-tight state to prevent air from entering the dispenser body via the wine flow channel, unless the unidirectional flow valve is forced into an open state, thereby allowing wine to flow out from the dispenser body via the wine flow channel, and then out of the dispenser via a pouring neck.

CONTAINER FOR PRESERVING LIQUID CONTENTS

A beverage container includes a flexible inside container and a rigid outside container. The flexible container can retain a liquid and seal the liquid from environmental air, while the surrounding rigid container facilitates handling and pouring in a form factor that reproduces the look and feel of a conventional wine bottle. A one-way valve permits pouring from the flexible container while preventing ingress of atmospheric oxygen or other contaminants. In particular, the one-way valve can be configured to retain a beverage within the flexible container until an exit path for the beverage through the valve is filled with liquid to seal the exit path and effectively eliminate any return path for ingress of air. To create a bottle-like pouring experience, the valve may automatically open to allow for the pouring of fluid when the bottle is tilted, and the valve may automatically close at the end of a pour.

Universal device for monitoring and reporting fluid consumption and method using same

A liquid intake tracking device for removable insertion into a beverage container in order to track an amount of liquid consumed, the rate of liquid consumption over time, and to provide alerts to the user. The device connects wirelessly to an application executing on an external electronic device which provides user with liquid consumption data and reports concerning the user's interaction with the beverage container. Methods for tracking liquid intake are also disclosed.

LIQUID DISPENSER

A liquid dispenser includes: an accommodating portion to accommodate a stock solution container configured to provide an ejecting portion that protrudes from a bag-shaped containing portion containing a concentrated stock solution which is ejected from an ejection port of the ejecting portion as the containing portion deforms based on an external force; and a stock solution ejection mechanism to control ejection and stoppage of the concentrated stock solution from the stock solution container. The stock solution ejection mechanism includes: a first valve body opening/closing mechanism to open and close a first valve body arranged in a flow path from the containing portion to the ejecting portion; a second valve body opening/closing mechanism to open and close a second valve body arranged in a flow path from the ejecting portion to the ejection port; and a control mechanism for individually controlling the first and second valve body opening/closing mechanisms.

Apparatus and method for displacing air from wine containers
09896324 · 2018-02-20 ·

A device for preventing air from displacing wine poured from a bottle. A retainable spout assembly comprises a bottle seal, a base having a liquid channel and vent channel, and a spout. A disposable bag assembly comprises folded limp inflatable bag attached to a vent tube which is attachable to the vent channel. As wine is poured, air enters the vent tube and inflates the pliable bag. After the bottle contents are consumed, the retainable subassembly may be removed from the disposable subassembly by leaving the disposable subassembly in the bottle or container. The retainable subassembly may be cleaned, and a replacement subassembly attached to the vent channel before inserting into a new container. The air displacement device may be inserted into a bottle before or after pouring wine. A pump or manual blow tube can be used to remove air from a partially-filled bottle.
