Method and Apparatus for Multi-Line Fuel Delivery

A gravity-fed fuel delivery system is provided. A central storage tank holds fuel to re-supply a number of pump trucks or other mechanized equipment, such as on a hydraulic fracturing location, and can be selectively raised or lowered. Hoses or other conduits extend from the central storage tank to individual fuel tanks of the equipment to be refueled. Adapters allow connection of the distal end of each hose or conduit to an inlet opening of a fuel tank. A float valve assembly senses when fuel inside an individual fuel tank is below a predetermined level, thereby mechanically opening a valve assembly to permit fluid to flow from the central storage tank, through a conduit, through the float valve assembly and into the fuel tank.

Testable overfill prevention valve for a liquid storage container

A testable overfill prevention valve (TOPV) for a liquid storage container. The TOPV allows an individual to readily verify the operability of the TOPV. Preferably, a test member of directly contacts a portion of a latch to release a flow control member so that the flow control member can move from an open position to a closed position wherein in the closed position liquid is generally prevented from flowing out the TOPV. The test member preferably directly contacts the flow control member to move the control member to an intermediate position between open and closed positions allowing an individual looking down into the TOPV to see that the flow control member has moved sufficiently to confirm operability of the TOPV. Preferably, the test member is spring biased to a non-testing position and the entire test member is disposed in the housing of the TOPV when in a testing position.

Anomaly detection and controlling fuel dispensing operations using fuel volume determinations

A system determines that a fuel dispensing operation may be anomalous. In response, the system accesses fuel inventory data that indicates fuel levels in a fuel tank within a threshold period. The system determines a measure amount of fuel that left the fuel tank based on the fuel inventory data. The system determines a calculated amount of dispensed fuel associated with one or more fuel dispensing operations within the threshold period. The system compares the measured amount of fuel that left the fuel tank with the calculated amount of dispensed fuel. The system determines that the measured amount of fuel that left the fuel tank is more than the calculated amount of dispensed fuel. In response, the system confirms that the fuel dispensing operation is anomalous and communicates an electronic signal to the fuel dispensing terminal that causes the fuel dispensing terminal to stop dispensing fuel.

Emergency detachment device of fluid handling device

An object is to provide an emergency detachment device of a fluid handling device, the emergency detachment device having exceptional heat insulation performance and making it possible to handle extremely-low-temperature fluids such as liquid hydrogen. A first coupler 2 and a second coupler 3 are provided with a vacuum section 10 between an inner pipe section 5 and an outer pipe section 6, and are provided with two valves 1 in series. A remaining-fluid-transferring mechanism is provided such that, after second valves 1B provided further inward enter a closed-valve state during emergency detachment, residual fluid that remains closer to the first valves 1A than the second valves 1B is transferred into the inner pipes sections 5 provided further inward of the second valves 1B. Once emergency detachment is in a completed state, heat insulation sections 9 are formed in the space between the first valve 1A and the second valve 1B in each of the first coupler 2 and the second coupler 3, and heat insulation performance is improved by the heat insulation sections 9 and the vacuum sections 10.
