Coalescing filter element and filter assembly therefore

A coalescing filter element provides an integrated filter element with a three stage design with a hydrophobic or hydrophilic coalescing layer. A coalescing filter element comprises: a) At least one particulate filtration layer; b) A coalescing layer promoting coalescing of water particles, wherein the coalescing layer is downstream of the at least one particulate filtration layer relative to the flow of fluid through the element; c) An annular coalescing space downstream of the coalescing layer; d) A sump in a lower portion of the filter element in fluid communication with the annular coalescing space; and e) A hydrophobic layer downstream of the annular coalescing space, wherein fluid being cleaned by the element flows through the hydrophobic layer. The coalescing layer may be a hydrophobic or a hydrophilic coalescing layer. A filter assembly will include the coalescing filter element of the present invention.

HIGH CAPACITY FILTER ELEMENT END CAP
20200407936 · 2020-12-31 ·

A removable and replaceable end cap that selectively lockingly engages a seat ring of a filter housing. The end cap may include a flange that compresses a gasket member between the end cap and the seat ring to form a fluid tight seal therebetween. The end cap may include cam locking grooves that may each receive insertion of a protrusion of the seat ring, and which are structured for at least rotational displacement about the received protrusion as the end cap is rotated between locked and unlocked positions relative to the seat ring. The end cap may also include an opening that accommodates the passage of a fluid to a filter element. The filter element, which may be coupled to the end cap, may be adapted to remove particulate or contaminate from the received fluid.

PERIODIC RADIAL SYMMETRY FOR FILTER PLEATING

A cylindrical filter element having a central longitudinal axis and filter media including a plurality of radially extending pleats arranged in a pattern that repeats around the central longitudinal axis. Each of the pleats comprises an inner pleat tip, wherein the inner pleat tips of each pattern define an open area that extends along a height of the filter element, and wherein each pattern of pleats comprises a first series of intermediate pleats that descends in length from a major pleat to a minor pleat and a second series of intermediate pleats that ascends in length from the minor pleat to a major pleat of an adjacent pattern of pleats.

SUCTION ADAPTER FOR FILTRATION SCREENS
20200330910 · 2020-10-22 ·

A suction adapter for filtration systems is disclosed. The suction adapter is useful for filtration systems in which there are screen regions unapproachable by intake openings of nozzles of the suction scanner, such as the case with pleated screens. The suction adapter comprises a partitioning adapted to match within a space-extension of a predetermined size and shape, whereby being useful for tunneling a suction power from an intake opening of the suction scanner to a screen region unapproachable by the intake opening. A method for cleaning a filtration screen having screen regions gapped from a closest approach of an intake opening of a suction scanner is disclosed. The method comprises providing immovable tunneling means between the screen regions and a location of the closest approach, whereby tunneling a suction power of the suction scanner to respective spots on the screen regions when closely approached, respectively, by the intake opening.
