Rack and pinion drive for trash rake
There is disclosed a trash rake system for use in clearing debris from an intake screen of an intake trash rack of a water intake port of a water use facility. The intake screen is configured to collect debris transported by water, for example, a river, to prevent the debris from entering the intake port of the water use facility. The trash rake system includes a track system, a movable support structure, a rack and pinion drive mechanism, and a controller configured to receive signals from an encoder on a drive motor and a proximity sensor system.
MEETHOD OF OPERATING A RAKE SYSTEM
A rake system and method may include a framework, a chain, an elongated rail, a support arm, and an engagement feature. The elongated rail may be pivotably connected to the framework. The support arm may be connected to the elongated rail at a first point and may be pivotably connected to the framework at a second point. The engagement feature may be connected to the support arm and may be configured to engage the chain. The rake system may be configured to discard debris.
Lifter As Pet Hair Filter
Removable filter apparatus for a laundry treating appliance are provided. A filter element is selectively attachable to a lifter base, the filter element being sized to fit within the lifter cover to allow an array of bristles extending upward from the filter element to capture particulate within the water flow. A cleaning comb is hingedly attached to the lifter cover, operable to be rotatably lifted through the filter element to remove pet hair from the bristles of the filter element. A chamber wall extends from an apex of the generally trapezoidal prism shape of the lifter cover downwards towards the open rectangular bottom, the chamber wall dividing the processing space into two water flow paths. Pouch filter elements are selectively attachable to the lifter cover for placement within the two water flow paths to allow the pouch filter elements to capture particulate within the water flow.
BERNOULLI FILTER DEVICE AND METHOD OF CLEANING A BERNOULLI FILTER DEVICE
The invention relates to a filtering apparatus for filtering a fluid, in particular a Bernoulli filtering apparatus, comprising a housing, an inlet port for admitting the fluid to be filtered into the housing, at least one filter element, disposed in the housing, for filtering the fluid, an outlet port for discharging the filtered fluid from the housing, and a filter cleaning mechanism for cleaning the filter element of residues from the filtered fluid, wherein a pressure maintenance unit for maintaining a defined minimum pressure in the housing during cleaning is associated with the outlet port for the filtered fluid on the housing.
MICROPARTICLES FILTER DEVICE FOR A LAUNDRY WASHING MACHINE, THE DEVICE BEING PROVIDED WITH A CLEANING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR REMOVING THE CLEANING DEVICE
A microparticles filter device with a housing body, an inlet and an outlet, a filtering chamber housed in the housing body and including a microparticles filter element having a filtering surface on which microparticles accumulate while the liquid flows therethrough; a cleaning device movably arranged in the filtering chamber for removing microparticles that accumulate on the filtering surface towards a storage volume of a collecting chamber arranged at a side of the filtering chamber and in communication therewith, where the collecting chamber is configured to be removably coupled with respect to the housing body and the cleaning device includes at least a portion extending into the storage volume of the collecting chamber thereby providing an extraction aid member to remove the cleaning device from the housing body when the collecting chamber is removed from the housing body.
