Air filter cartridges for use in air cleaner assemblies are described. The air filter cartridges typically comprise a stack of strips of fluted media secured to facing media and having an inlet flow face and an outlet flow face. In examples, a projection is provided extending outwardly from adjacent the outlet flow face of the media pack, as a projection supporting a seal arrangement. In examples, the seal arrangement is typically rectangular, with four straight and four rounded corners. The projection can be configured with open corners, and in some instances comprises tabs, to facilitate flexing of the projection to accommodate variations in a housing seal surface, with which the cartridge is installed. Air cleaner assemblies and components therefor, using cartridges in accord with the descriptions herein, are described.

Air filter arrangements; assemblies; and, methods

Air cleaner assemblies and components therefor are described. An example first or main filter cartridge is described which includes a media pack comprising fluted material secured to facing sheets. The media pack defines opposite inlet and outlet flow faces, with flutes extending in a direction therebetween. The cartridge defines a closed end, spaced from, but in overlap with, the outlet end face of the media pack.

AIR FILTER ARRANGEMENT; ASSEMBLY; AND, METHODS

An air filter arrangement is disclosed. The air filter arrangement includes media comprising corrugated media secured to facing media and defining a media pack having opposite flow faces. Media pack arrangements including such media are described. Also described are filter cartridges including such media packs and air cleaners including the filter cartridges. Advantageous housing seal arrangements having a pinch seal member and forming a trough are described. Methods of assembly and use are also provided. Also, systems of use are described.

Air filter arrangement; assembly; and, methods

An air filter media construction or arrangement is disclosed. The air filter media construction or arrangement includes media comprising opposite inlet and outlet flow faces, with a perimeter housing seal. Also described are serviceable filter cartridges and air cleaners including the filter cartridges. Methods of assembly and use are also provided.

Tunable nanofiber filter media and filter devices

A tunable nanofiber filter device can include a filter housing defining an interior space, the housing having defined therein and inlet and an outlet, each in fluid communication with the interior space, and a plurality of filter laminas disposed within the interior space, each filter lamina including an upper surface, a lower surface, and an aperture defined therethrough. The plurality of filter laminas can be arranged in a stack wherein the opposing surfaces of adjacent filter laminas define a portion of an interlaminar flow space extending between the opposing surfaces. The flow space can be in fluid communication with the apertures of corresponding adjacent filter laminas to form a continuous flow passage extending through the lamina stack from the inlet to the outlet. An array nanofibers can extend into the flow passage from a portion of each filter lamina such that a fluid flowed through the flow passage flows across a portion of said array.

FILTER ELEMENT, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS

A gas turbine air intake system uses a filter element having a seal member with radial projections and radial recesses. The seal member forms a seal with components on the tube sheet of the system and at the end opposite of the tube sheet. At the end opposite of the tube sheet, there can be an assembly cover, or alternatively, an additional filter cartridge.

Air Filter Arrangement; Assembly; and, Methods

An air cleaner arrangement is shown. The air cleaner arrangement includes a serviceable filter cartridge. A preferred filter cartridge positionable within an air cleaner arrangement, is depicted.

A filter cartridge includes a media pack having first and second opposite flow faces; the media pack comprising flutes extending in a direction between the inlet flow face and the outlet flow face; a frame mounted on the second flow face of the media pack; a seal support section extending from the base member; and first and second opposite and spaced blades extending from the base member and in a different direction from the base member as the seal support section. The first and second blades are embedded within the media pack through the second flow face. A seal member is oriented against the seal support section. The filter cartridge can be removably oriented in a cassette. The cassette and filter cartridge are removably oriented in an air cleaner housing. The cassette may include lugs to help position the cartridge in sealing engagement with the air cleaner housing. In another embodiment, the filter cartridge is cassette-free and includes a cartridge-handle projecting therefrom.

AIR FILTER HAVING FRAME WITH SENSORS AND STACKABLE DISPOSABLE FILTER ELEMENTS

The current application relates to an air filter that reduces the cost of air-filters by separating the filter element into multiple stackable and disposable sections of a same standardized shape and size. The filter elements may be inserted into a unique, reusable filter frame that includes sensors and communication capability. The filter sections and the frame are made such that the filter sections inserted into the frame to align to and fit into each of the uniform frame sections securely and without air leakage. Shipping and storing the filter sections are made easy by size and shape standardization, enabling them to be stacked one on top of the other so that the filter folds fit into each other as they are stacked, making shipping and storing economical. The frame itself is made from hard plastic and the sensors and communication module are attached to the frame.
