A system for scrubbing and monitoring H2S includes: a sample inlet valve that controls an input stream of the hydrocarbon gas from the gas canister; a first scrubber that removes a first portion of H2S from the input stream and that outputs a first stream with less H2S than the input stream; a second scrubber that removes a second portion of H2S from the first stream and that outputs a second stream with less H2S than the first stream; a H2S converter that converts all remaining H2S in the second stream into a di-ketone and that outputs an output stream with a concentration of the di-ketone; an optical detector that measures the concentration of the di-ketone in the output stream; and a processor that determines a concentration of H2S in the second stream based on the concentration of the di-ketone in the output stream.

Canister

A canister includes a case having a body, a fluid channel in the body having an adsorbent containing adsorption chamber, a cover plate closing an opening in the body, a push plate between the cover plate and the adsorbent, a biasing member between the push plate and the cover plate, and a filter. The case includes a filter supporting portion facing an outer peripheral edge of the filter that includes fused portions and non-fused portions to which the outer peripheral edge of the filter is fusion-bonded and not fusion-bonded, respectively. The fused portions and non-fused portions are arranged in an alternating manner about the filter supporting portion. The filter includes first portions and second portions pressed against the fused portions and non-fused portions, respectively, by the biasing member via the adsorbent. The first portions and the second portions are alternately arranged about the filter supporting portion.

Thermally conductive structure for multi-direction flow through packed bed

A packed bed for a heat exchanger may comprise a frame and a first fin layer disposed within the frame. A second fin layer may be disposed within the frame. A regenerable gas filter includes a housing having in-line an entrance and an exit, a pleated activated carbon fibre sheet or tube, with electrical conductors in the tip of each pleat and further electrical conductors being optionally attached to the ends of said sheet. The conductors are disposed substantially perpendicularly to the gas flow through the housing and the conductors on one side of the pleated sheet are connected to a single central conductor, which in turn was coupled to an electrical DC power source, which is repeated for the conductors on the other side of the pleated sheet. The sheet is stretched over and in electrical contact with the conductors and the pleated sheet or tube is provided with a sealing means to the housing. The regenerable gas filter is used for the purification of air in a Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system.

A portable gas separator assembly utilizing carbon molecular sieve absorbents or elements to separate a compressed air stream to extract nitrogen and oxygen molecules. Components of the assembly include at least two charging towers so that one tower can be charged with compressed gas while the other of the at least two towers is purged.

Air separation modules, nitrogen generation systems, and methods of making air separation modules

An air separation module includes a separator, a canister, and a nominal-length end cap. The separator is arranged to separate ambient air into an oxygen-enriched air fraction and a nitrogen-enriched air fraction. The canister supports the separator and has a canister end flange, a canister intermediate flange and a canister end, the canister intermediate flange arranged between the canister end flange and the canister end. The nominal-length end cap is fixed to the canister end flange, and the separator extends between the canister end flange and the canister end. Nitrogen generation systems and methods of generating nitrogen-enriched air flows are also described.

Low emission adsorbent and canister system

The present description provides low DBL bleed emission performance properties that allows the design of evaporative fuel emission control systems that are simpler and more compact than those possible by prior art by inclusion of a vent-side volume comprising a parallel passage adsorbent such as a carbon honeycomb with narrow channel width and low cell pitch.
