CO2 CAPTURE FROM DILUTE SOURCES
Systems and methods are provided for separation of CO.sub.2 from dilute source streams. The systems and methods for the separation can include use of contactors that correspond radial flow adsorbent modules that can allow for efficient contact of CO.sub.2-containing gas with adsorbent beds while also facilitating use of heat transfer fluids in the vicinity of the adsorbent beds to reduce or minimize temperature variations. In particular, the radial flow adsorbent beds can be alternated with regions of axial flow heat transfer conduits to provide thermal management. The radial flow structure for the adsorbent beds combined with axial flow conduits for heat transfer fluids can allow for sufficient temperature control to either a) reduce or minimize temperature variations within the adsorbent beds or b) facilitate performing the separation using temperature as a swing variable for controlling the working capacity of the adsorbent.
REGENERATIVE SEPARATING DEVICE FOR SEPARATING IMPURITIES FROM AN AIRFLOW
An improved regenerative separating device for separating impurities from an airflow, in particular a process exhaust airflow, provides a better distribution of the airflow in an annular gap between a rotary separating unit comprising a plurality of filter blocks for adsorbing impurities from the airflow and a circumferential wall of a housing incorporating the rotary separating unit. The airflow inlet provided in the circumferential wall for introducing the airflow into the annular gap and a regeneration system for regenerating the filter blocks of the rotary separating unit by a regenerating stream passing through the filter blocks to desorb impurities adsorbed in the filter blocks are both positioned in the same circumferential sector of maximum 180 degrees.
Method And Apparatus For Monitoring Replacement Of An Air Dryer Cartridge
An air dryer assembly that monitors the replacement of an air dryer cartridge comprises a first air dryer cartridge, an air dryer base for receiving the first air dryer cartridge and a state change device positioned between the air dryer cartridge and air dryer base. The state change device changes from a first state to a second state in response to the first air dryer cartridge being removed from the air dryer base. The state change device changes to a third state when a second air dryer cartridge is removably attached to the air dryer base.
A FILTERING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR TREATING POLLUTED AIR IN INDOOR SPACES
The invention relates to a filtering apparatus and method for treating polluted indoor air, which can be operated by gas scrubbers, adsorbers, or through the use of a microbial biodegrading medium for polluting gases, wherein said apparatus allows the biofiltration method to be efficient and applicable in indoor spaces. The technical problem of the efficiency of the filter has to do with said filter being able to process the greatest amount of pollutants during a minimum residence time and with a filter bed volume that allows the application thereof in apparatus that have an adequate size for indoor spaces, such as spaces inside the household, i.e., allowing the reactor to operate at maximum capacity without having to increase the size thereof.
Process for producing an adsorption unit and adsorption unit
A process for producing an adsorption unit is disclosed, wherein an adsorber bed of the adsorption unit is filled with a bed of an adsorbent which is selected from a multitude of adsorbents by a test method, wherein, in the test method, a particle of each adsorbent is repeatedly laden with a sorbate and regenerated again, which converts the particle to an aged particle, and a fracture property B of the aged particle of each adsorbent is determined, wherein the adsorbent for the bed is selected depending on the fracture property B determined from the multitude of adsorbents.
FILTRATION APPARATUS WITH CARTRIDGE ASSEMBLY
A filtration apparatus for filtering a fluid stream includes a vessel housing. At least one cartridge assembly is arranged within the vessel housing. The cartridge assembly includes filtration material arranged between at least one inlet and at least one outlet. The filtration material treats the fluid stream to form a filtered fluid stream. In use, the fluid stream is received a feed port of the vessel housing, flows through the filtration material in the cartridge assembly between the inlet and the outlet, and the filtered fluid stream is discharged from a discharge port of the vessel housing. The filtration apparatus can be used to remove siloxanes from the fluid stream.
Radial Flow Adsorption Vessel Comprising Flexible Screen
The present invention pertains to a radial flow adsorption vessel comprising a cylindrical outer shell and at least one cylindrical porous wall disposed co-axially inside the shell, wherein inside the shell one or more fluid permeable screens are rigidly connected to the at least one cylindrical porous wall, by a multitude of separate standoff elements so that the screen has a cylindrical shape co-axial to the shell, and to an adsorption process using the radial flow adsorption vessel.
Particle loading method and apparatus for a radial flow vessel
Particle loading assembly and method for loading particles into a vessel to form a densely packed particle bed comprising an inner layer of particles and an outer layer of particles. The inner layer of particles is arranged radially and concentric with the outer layer of particles. The inner layer of particles contains at least a first type of particle of different granulometry or range of composition or both granulometry and range of composition from a second type of particles contained in the outer layer.
FLUID FILTRATION SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USE
A fluid filtration system that includes one or more layers, including a trapping layer and a reactive layer, connected to a frame. A method for fluid filtration that includes sorbing contaminants, trapping contaminants, and degrading contaminants.
MOISTURE EXTRACTION COMPONENT
A moisture extraction component including: an inlet; an outlet opposite the inlet; an inner surface defining a main flow channel, the main flow channel fluidly connecting the inlet to the outlet; a path on the inner surface configured to direct moisture flow, the path being defined by differences in hydrophobicity on the inner surface using at least one of a hydrophobic surface and a hydrophilic surface.
