Carbon-coated Nickel-aluminum Nanocomposite, Preparation Method Therefor and Application Thereof
A nanocomposite has a core-shell structure with an outer shell and an inner core. The, outer shell is a graphitized carbon film, and the inner core contains nickel oxide and alumina, with a nickel oxide content of 59%-80%, an alumina content of 19%-40%, and a carbon content of not more than 1%, based on the total weight of the nanocomposite. The process for catalytic combustion of volatile organic compounds may utilize the nanocomposite as a catalyst.
Air Purification System, Apparatus and Method
A method of purifying air polluted by smoke and fumes, such as from wildfires and other hazard, may deploy a series of fluid filled vessels that act as filters to trap and/or neutralize components that would foul an aqueous suspension of gold nanoparticles that is effective in converting toxic carbon monoxide to carbon dioxide. Non-toxic fluids may be used. As the gold nanoparticles are effective in a basic solution, the solution may contain a visible pH indicator or an apparatus that deploys the method may continuously monitor the pH thereof.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PURIFYING GAS AND USE
The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for purifying gas, wherein the gas which includes at least tars and/or undesired hydrocarbons is supplied to a catalytic treatment reactor which has at least one catalyst zone including at least one catalyst element with a catalyst, oxygen gas is fed into the catalyst element of the catalyst zone in the catalytic treatment reactor and is supplied through the catalyst element, the gas is arranged to flow to the catalyst zone and arranged to contact with the oxygen gas and the catalyst, and a purified gas is discharged from the catalytic treatment reactor. Further, the invention relates to the use of the method.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PRE-PURIFICATION OF A FEED GAS STREAM
A system and method of pre-purification of a feed gas stream is provided that is particularly suitable for pre-purification of a feed air stream in cryogenic air separation unit. The disclosed pre-purification systems and methods are configured to remove substantially all of the hydrogen, carbon monoxide, water, and carbon dioxide impurities from a feed air stream and is particularly suitable for use in a high purity or ultra-high purity nitrogen plant. The pre-purification systems and methods preferably employ two or more separate layers of hopcalite catalyst with the successive layers of the hopcalite separated by a zeolite adsorbent layer that removes water and carbon dioxide produced in the hopcalite layers.
Catalyst structure for ozone decomposition
Provided are a catalyst structure for ozone decomposition including a support containing a porous inorganic material, and an α-MnO.sub.2 catalyst located on at least a portion of inner pores and a surface of the support, an air-cleaning method using the same, and an air-cleaning device and an air-cleaning system each including the catalyst structure for ozone decomposition.
MULTI-LAYER FILTRATION SYSTEM AND FILTER UNIT COMPRISING SAME
Proposed is a multi-layer filtration system including a metal catalyst filter unit, a carbon filter unit, and an inorganic compound filter unit. The metal catalyst filter unit includes at least one among metals including Ni, Co, Fe, Cu, Cr, Mg, Zn, Ba, Au, Ag, Pd, Pt, Ru, Mn, and Ti, oxides thereof, and mixtures thereof. The carbon filter unit includes at least one of activated carbon or activated carbon fiber. The inorganic compound filter unit includes an inorganic compound capable of adsorbing toxic gas. The multi-layer filtration system has good removal effect for toxic gas. A filter module including the multi-layer filtration system and a gas mask including the multi-layer filtration system are also proposed.
METHOD FOR PROCESSING WASTE USING LOW-TEMPERATURE PLASMA AND DEVICE THEREFOR
A device for processing waste is described herein that comprises an ion generator, a furnace chamber, a heat exchanger, a pollution control system, and a chimney. The ion generator converts atmospheric air into an ionized gas and the furnace chamber thermally decays the waste by combining the waste with a product of an interaction of the ionized gas and heat generated by the furnace chamber. The heat exchanger cools the excess gas. A wet scrubber system removes heavy metals and/or acid gases from the cooled excess gas to generate scrubbed excess gas, and a fixed bed coke system detoxifies the scrubbed excess gas by converting carbon monoxide, water, and steam in the scrubbed excess gas to carbon dioxide and hydrogen, and removing remaining acid gas, a remaining heavy metal, and/or a remaining dioxin from the scrubbed excess gas. The chimney transfers remaining scrubbed excess gas out of the device.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR GAS PURIFICATION TREATMENT
A device for gas purification treatment may include: a light oxidation reactor, a light source being disposed in the light oxidation reactor, the light source being configured to emit first light and second light, the light oxidation reactor being configured to perform a first-stage purification treatment on a gas under irradiation of the first light; a catalytic ozone oxidation reactor configured for second-stage purification treatment of the gas; a photocatalytic reactor configured to perform a third-stage purification treatment on the gas under irradiation of the second light; wherein, the photocatalytic reactor is adjacent to the light oxide reactor, and the photocatalytic reactor and the light oxide reactor are separated by a light transmittance component, so that the second light passes through the light transmittance component into the photocatalytic reactor.
METHOD FOR THE TREATMENT OF AN EXHAUST GAS AND AN HVAC SYSTEM
The present invention relates to a method for the treatment of an exhaust gas comprising carbon monoxide (CO) and/or one or more volatile organic compounds (VOCs) using a PGM-free catalyst article comprising a mixed oxide of Mn, Cu, Mg, Al and La. The present invention also relates to an HVAC system comprising a PGM-free catalyst article.
