PROCESS FOR PRODUCING FUNCTIONALIZED ORGANIC MOLECULES AND USES THEREOF

A process for producing functionalized organic molecules having 1 to 3 carbon atoms. The method includes the step of contacting carbon dioxide as the only gas, or a gas mixture that includes carbon dioxide and methane, in the presence of water, with a catalyst that includes permanently polarized hydroxyapatite.

PROCESSES AND APPARATUSES FOR REDUCING CARBON MONOXIDE LEVELS IN A GASEOUS STREAM
20230159338 · 2023-05-25 ·

Processes for reducing carbon monoxide levels in a carbon dioxide rich gaseous stream. The carbon dioxide rich stream is passed to a preferential oxidation zone to selectively convert carbon monoxide to carbon dioxide. Excess oxygen is consumed by reacting with hydrogen, which may be added or controlled based on PSA operating conditions upstream of the preferential oxidation zone. The preferential oxidation zone may be contained within a bed of a dryer.

A radial flow processing device includes a body with an inner chamber, a pair of inner and outer concentric tubes extending into the body, and a processing disk containing a central opening through which the inner tube extends, the disk being connected with the inner tube. The body has a top wall, a bottom wall, and at least one side wall which define the inner chamber. The bottom wall, top wall, or both, contain at least one opening through which at least one tube extends. A diameter of the inner tube is less than a diameter of the outer tube such that there is a space between both tubes, and a diameter of the disk is less than a width of the body.

As an accessory to smoke or vaporizer devices or integrated into same, or to accompany smokers in general, a personal air filter comprising multiple filter mediums and technologies, and various combinations thereof, including mechanical, chemical and electrostatic principles, is disclosed. The different mediums and components are sequentially incorporated into a compact unit that can fit easily into a user's bag, purse or pocket. Importantly, harmful organic compounds are targeted as well as nanoparticles. An additional feature is that the filter device is easily disassembled to replace and/or reuse inner and outer components.

Nanofiber air filter medium with high adsorption performance and preparation method

A high-adsorption-performance nanofiber filter medium includes a support material and a composite nanofiber filtration layer that includes multiple nanometer composite nanofiber layers deposited and stacked on the support material. The nanometer composite nanofiber layer includes first, second, and third nano-powder composite nanofibers, which are uniformly mixed by means of an airflow or are sequentially laminated to form the nanometer composite nanofiber layer. The nanometer composite nanofiber layer formed through sequential lamination includes first, second, and third nanofiber layers. The first nanofiber layer includes multiple first nano-powder composite nanofibers. The second nanofiber layer is stacked on the first nanofiber layer and includes multiple second nano-powder composite nanofibers. The third nanofiber layer is stacked on the second nanofiber layer and includes multiple third nano-powder composite nanofibers. The composite nanofiber filtration layer is formed of multiple nanometer composite nanofiber layers, so that the high-adsorption-performance nanofiber air filter medium shows improved performance.
