A bow has an arrow quiver further attached to a bowfishing bow or reel. The arrow quiver provides a clip that advantageously holds at least one arrow shaft along the bowfishing riser without interference with the line during use and may further hold one or more replacement tips and tools commonly used during the course of bowfishing. The replacement tips are stored to be easily accessible with the sharp points of the tips directed away from the user to avoid injury. Further, small hand tools, such as Allen wrenches or hex keys, are stored on the quiver in a manner which improves flexibility of the arrow clip.

METHOD APPARATUS AND SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING FISH

A submersible (10) and method of using a submersible for capturing a target species comprising: at least one controllable thruster (14) for manoeuvring the submersible; at least one camera (12) for capturing images to allow the identification of an individual of a target species; a catapult mechanism (33) wherein the catapult mechanism is reversibly moveable between a released configuration and a primed configuration by an activatable motor, and wherein the catapult mechanism may be loaded with a retractable device mounted on the catapult mechanism, and the retractable device may be launched from the submersible by being propelled by the catapult mechanism; a container for receiving a captured individual.

Barbed fishing arrowhead
11033011 · 2021-06-15 ·

A barbed fishing arrowhead has a ferrule having an aft end and an opposite fore end, a head adjoining to the fore end, a tip upon the head, and two barbs cooperatively engaging the head. The barbs fit within a chamber in the ferrule and rotate upon a pin also in a slot. The chamber includes an interior bumper towards the aft end that partially extends the barbs when retracted in the flight position. The barbs rotate outwardly following passage of the ferrule through a fish and engage the side of a fish until released by a fisherman. In an alternate embodiment, the invention has a smaller form with barbs having a sharper point and a tooth upon their leading edge.

Pivotable arrowhead assembly
11105594 · 2021-08-31 ·

An arrow includes an arrowhead and a shaft. An assembly interconnects the shaft and the arrowhead such that, in one position, the assembly substantially rigidly interconnects the arrowhead and the shaft to prevent or restrict angular or radial movement of the arrowhead relative to the shaft, and to prevent axial movement of the arrowhead relative to the shaft in one axial direction. A spring resists movement of the arrowhead relative to the shaft in the other axial direction. When the spring force is overcome, the assembly permits the arrowhead to pivot relative to the shaft while maintaining the connection between the arrowhead and the shaft.
