Device for storage, mixing and dispensing of a bone cement, and pertinent method
A device for storage of a monomer liquid and a cement powder as starting components of a bone cement dough and for mixing the starting components, and for dispensing the mixed bone cement dough. The device includes a receptacle in which a monomer liquid container is arranged and a cartridge containing the cement powder. A feed plunger is arranged in the receptacle. A dispensing plunger is arranged between the monomer liquid container and the cement powder in the cartridge. The feed plunger can be punctured by a rod when motion of the feed plunger is blocked, whereby the dispensing plunger is propelled by propelling the rod further through the blocked and punctured feed plunger. Also provided are an extrusion device for propelling a feed plunger and a dispensing plunger of a device for mixing of a bone cement dough, and a method for the production of a bone cement dough.
Bone cement applicator with retractable mixing rod and method for production of a bone cement
A bone cement applicator comprising a cartridge with an internal space. The cartridge has a head with a dispensing opening for expulsion of bone cement, a first thread, a dispensing plunger, a threaded tube having a counter thread engaging the first thread, a receptacle mobile in the threaded tube, and a mixing rod with a mixer fastened to it and arranged in the internal space of the cartridge. The mixing rod is detachably connected to the receptacle and is guided through a feedthrough in the dispensing plunger and is supported in the feedthrough so as to be axially mobile. When detached from the receptacle, the mixing rod can be pushed into the receptacle when the receptacle is propelled in the direction of the cartridge head. A method is also disclosed for production of a bone cement using the bone cement applicator.
Caulk tube
A caulk tube adapter for allowing mixing of coloring compositions into caulk is provided. The caulk tube includes baffles on the inside surface of the tube for facilitating mixing of the caulk and coloring composition. An adapter for allowing the caulk tubes to be positioned into a paint mixer is also provided.

A treatment apparatus for a mixing device having a concentric barrel configuration. The treatment apparatus includes a manifold including an input end and an output end. The treatment apparatus also includes a conduit body having a manifold end and a nozzle end. The manifold end is connected to the output end of the manifold, and the conduit body includes at least one nozzle at the nozzle end of the conduit body opposite the manifold. At least one fluid pathway is formed between the input end of the manifold, the conduit body, and the at least one nozzle.
Bone cement applicator with hollow cylinder on delivery plunger
One aspect relates to a device for producing a bone cement paste from a monomer liquid and a cement powder as parent components of the bone cement paste and for delivering the mixed bone cement paste. The device has a cartridge with a cylindrical interior. The interior of the cartridge is closed at a front side apart from a delivery opening for discharging the bone cement paste. In the interior of the cartridge a delivery plunger is arranged which is pushable in the direction of the delivery opening. The cement powder is arranged in the interior of the cartridge between the delivery opening and the delivery plunger. A hollow cylinder is arranged at a front side of the delivery plunger facing the delivery opening. The hollow cylinder is open at its front face facing the delivery opening and extends from the front side of the delivery plunger at least 3 mm into the interior of the cartridge.
Devices and methods for slurry generation
The present invention involves the use of a small profile device for preparation and/or delivery of cold slurry into the human body. The cold slurry can be generated within the device itself or within a separate small chamber, both of which produce a cold slurry using a cooling source and an injectable fluid. The delivery device provides continued agitation to the fluid/slurry through rotation and/or vibration of blades within the device. The fluid/cold slurry is cooled/kept cool through the use of an external cooling device, such as a cooling sleeve, that at least partially surrounds the delivery device. The cooling sleeve can cool or maintain the temperature of the cold slurry through a number of mechanisms. The cold slurry can be delivered using a device in accordance with the present invention to any tissue inside the body, including subcutaneous fat, visceral fat, and brown fat.

Disclosed is a double chamber container. The first chamber comprises a stopper coupled to a first end and a cover coupled to a second end. The second chamber comprises a plunger coupled to one end and an open second end. The first chamber is coupled to the second chamber such that the first end of the first chamber is coupled to the second end of the second chamber.

A mixing and dispensing system for a two-component material, such as a bone cement, the mixing and dispensing system including a handle connected to the mixer via a mixing shaft. The mixing shaft extends through the piston from the piston driving end in the direction of the outlet end in order to move the mixer in dependence on movements initiated via the handle, and with the handle being detachable, in particular in a non-destructive manner, from the mixing shaft via a connector.
Bone cement mixing cartridge and method of use
A container for bone cement includes a first member defining a chamber, which contains a first ingredient. The chamber also includes a second member movably coupled to the first member. The second member includes a mixing device that is movably disposed within the first chamber, and the second member defines a second chamber containing a second ingredient. The container additional includes an opening device that selectively opens the second chamber and allows the second ingredient to enter from the second chamber into the first chamber. The mixing device is movable within the first chamber to promote mixing of the first ingredient and the second ingredient to prepare the bone cement. A corresponding method of preparing bone cement is also disclosed.
