FLOW PASSAGE MODULE AND CELL CULTURE APPARATUS USING SAME
Provided are a flow passage module which can achieve complete liquid substitution in a circulating flow passage with a simple structure, and a cell culture apparatus using said flow passage module. A flow passage module comprises: a flexible branching section which is provided with a first branching flow passage connected with an inflow passage for a fluid, a second branching flow passage connected with an outflow passage, a third branching flow passage connected with an entry-side end part of a circulating flow passage, and a fourth branching flow passage connected with an exit-side end part of the circulating flow passage, and which enables the branching flow passages to be communicated with each other; and a communication state switching part which has opening/closing members for closing and opening the desired branching flow passage from among the plurality of branching flow passages.
Cosmetic manufacturing method, apparatus for formulating a customised cosmetic product, cosmetic product mixer and server configured for preparing a cosmetic product
There is described a method of formulating a customised cosmetic product, comprising the steps of: a) dispensing ingredients according to a recipe for the cosmetic product into a vessel (422) containing a mixing component (1201); b) mixing the ingredients with the mixing component to form a mixed intermediate; and c) increasing the viscosity of the intermediate to form the cosmetic product by ceasing mixing and/or adding a further ingredient. An apparatus for formulating a customised cosmetic product comprising an inventory section, a dispensing section and a vessel located in the dispensing section is also described. Furthermore, a method and apparatus for formulating a customised cosmetic product comprising selecting a cosmetic product mixer from a plurality of cosmetic product mixers based on the generation of second data based on first data indicative of a biometric measurement of a user, are also described.
COMPOUNDING DEVICE, SYSTEM, KIT, SOFTWARE, AND METHOD
An exemplary manifold for a pharmaceutical ingredient compounding device can include a housing, at least one primary intake port including a primary valve to permit or block passage of at least one primary ingredient through the manifold, and a plurality of secondary intake ports. A first channel can be in fluid communication with the at least one primary valve and include an outlet port configured to outlet the at least one primary ingredient from the manifold. A second channel can be in fluid communication with a plurality of secondary valves and include an outlet port configured to outlet at least one of a plurality of secondary ingredients from the manifold. The first channel and second channel can be in fluid isolation from each other such that the at least one primary ingredient does not mix with the plurality of secondary ingredients within the manifold.
Feeding Apparatus for Animals
In an apparatus for feeding animals including one or more feed dispensing containers from which the animals can take feed which are fed by supply ducts from a supply a device is provided which includes a feed supply duct portion arranged such that the feed falls through the feed supply duct portion under gravity. A drive member is mounted at the duct and includes a plurality of paddle blades of a wheel mounted for rotation about an axis of the wheel such that falling feed in the duct acts to drive the blades to rotate the wheel about the axis and a driven component driven by the wheel. The driven component is in most cases a dispenser for feeding a liquid or particulate additive material from a supply cartridge, which is mounted on a common housing forming the duct and containing the wheel, to an injection opening on the bottom of the housing for addition to the feed passing through the duct portion.
COMPOUNDING DEVICE, SYSTEM, KIT, SOFTWARE, AND METHOD
An exemplary pharmaceutical compounding system and device for mixing materials from at least two distinct material sources can include a transfer set and junction structure that has a junction body, a first inlet port located at a first portion of the junction body, a second inlet port located at a second portion of the junction body, and an outlet port located at a third portion of the junction body. A mixing chamber can be located between the outlet port and both the first inlet port and second inlet port, the mixing chamber configured to mix fluid received from both the first inlet port and second inlet port and to deliver the fluid to the outlet port. An attachment structure can be located on the junction body and configured to attach the junction structure to the housing of the compounding device.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MIXING AND DISPENSING
A system and method for mixing and dispensing two substances are provided. The system includes: a first substance a first container for containing a first substance, a second container for containing a second substance, a feeding tube, and a pumping system connected to the first container, the second container, and the feeding tube; wherein the system comprises at least three modes of operation: combining the first and second substances into one combined substance, mixing the combined substance, and dispensing the mixed substance; and wherein the pumping system is adapted to perform the at least three modes of operation and dispense the mixed substance to the feeding tube.
