Compounding device, system, kit, software, and method
An exemplary compounding system and method can include a transfer set that includes a manifold for assisting in transferring a plurality of ingredients from supply container(s) to a final container. The manifold can include a first channel in fluid communication with at least one primary ingredient, and a second channel in fluid communication with a plurality of secondary ingredients. The first channel and second channel can be in fluid isolation from each other such that the at least one primary ingredient does not mix with the plurality of secondary ingredients within the manifold. The transfer set can include a plurality of inlet lines in fluid communication with the manifold and two outlet lines configured for connection to two separate pumps and eventually being in fluid communication with the final container.
COMPOUNDING DEVICE, SYSTEM, KIT, SOFTWARE, AND METHOD
An exemplary pharmaceutical compounding system and device for mixing materials from at least two distinct material sources can include a valve including a valve housing and a valve structure located within the valve housing. The valve structure can be configured to permit fluid to flow through the valve when in an open position, and can include a gravity wall wherein, when the valve structure is in the open position, fluid moving through the valve structure moves upward against a force of gravity when travelling through the valve and traversing the gravity wall.
COMPOUNDING DEVICE, SYSTEM, KIT, SOFTWARE, AND METHOD
An exemplary pharmaceutical compounding system and device for mixing materials from at least two distinct material sources can include a transfer set and junction structure that has a junction body, a first inlet port located at a first portion of the junction body, a second inlet port located at a second portion of the junction body, and an outlet port located at a third portion of the junction body. The junction structure can be configured to mix fluid received from both the first inlet port and second inlet port and to deliver the fluid to the outlet port. The junction structure can also include attachment structure located on the junction body and configured to attach the junction structure to the housing of the compounding device at a location downstream of a pump system.
Apparatuses and Methods for Formulating Using a Swirl Chamber
An outer shell and nozzle portion define therebetween a swirl chamber having a plurality of inlet flow paths and an outlet flow path. The swirl chamber may receive a plurality of substances or components from separate sources, to mix the plurality of substances in the swirl chamber, and to deliver the mixed substances or formulation through an outlet, e.g., to a connector. The substances may be sterile, and the entire flow path from the substance sources to the container may be sterile and aseptically sealed from ambient atmosphere. The outer shell and nozzle portion may be constructed of plastic or other disposable materials. The swirl chamber may be constructed to optimize the mixing of the substances through control of the velocity by which each substance enters the swirl chamber.
Systems and methods for compounding a preparation using a premix solution
Computer systems and non-transitory computer readable media for determining an amount of an ingredient for a preparation for a requested therapy (e.g., an order or a prescription) includes an identifier, volume, and amounts of first and second compounds in each of a plurality of premix solutions. A predefined formulary comprising a formulary concentration of each of a plurality of additions is provided. A premix solution is selected. An amount of a first additions to be added to the premix solution may be selected. A number of bags of the premix solution, needed to satisfy a volume associated with the selected premix solution, are optionally reserved. An additive volume is determined at least by the specified first amounts of the first addition and a corresponding formulary concentration.
Cosmetic blending machine for foundation, concealer, tinted moisturizer, primer, skin care products, nail polish, blush, hair dye, lipstick and other products
A colorimeter, webcam, camera, spectrophotometer, scanner or other instrument measures the color composition and conditions and texture of a person's body part or presented beauty product and an individual custom formulation is produced. A presented beauty product may include foundation, concealer, tinted moisturizer, primer, skin care products, blush, nail polish, hair dye, lipstick, lip gloss, mascara, eye liner and eye shadow. The produced custom formulation may comprise foundation, concealer, tinted moisturizer, primer, skin care products, blush, nail polish, hair dye, lipstick, lip gloss, mascara, eye liner, eye shadow or other consumer products. A computer system 301 includes a processor 501 and a non-transitory, computer readable medium 500 containing machine readable instructions that accept data from a colorimeter 300 or like instrument and uses a main executable program 502 and a subroutine 504 for color analysis.
Valve for compounding device
An exemplary pharmaceutical compounding system and device for mixing materials from at least two distinct material sources can include a valve including a valve housing and a valve structure located within the valve housing. The valve structure can be configured to permit fluid to flow through the valve when in an open position, and can include a gravity wall wherein, when the valve structure is in the open position, fluid moving through the valve structure moves upward against a force of gravity when travelling through the valve and traversing the gravity wall.
Automated multichannel media dispenser
An apparatus and method for preparing a plant tissue medium are disclosed, the method comprising preparing a plurality of compounds in vessels; positioning a dispensing unit including a plurality of nozzles in communication with the plurality of vessels over an interior of a mixing container; dispensing predetermined amounts of at least one of the liquid compounds through one of the plurality of nozzles into the mixing container wherein the predetermined amounts are controlled by an electronic controller; positioning the dispensing unit in a second position; and sterilizing the mixing container containing the dispensed liquid compounds.
Medicament preparation devices, methods, and systems
A system for mixing a batch of medicament has a pump actuator, control valve actuators, a source of concentrate, and a purified water source, all connected by a fluid circuit. A controller controls various control valves to open fluid channels from the source of concentrate and from the purified water source to connect a junction of the fluid circuit to the concentrate container and the purified water source. The controller also controls the pump actuator and a water pump to flow water and concentrate through the junction into a mixing container, such that the mixture of the concentrate and the water requires additional dilution to form a ready-to-use medicament. The controller samples the mixture and calculate an additional quantity of water to add based on the sampling.
