Downstream of the turbine rotor (34) in extension of the axis of rotation of the turbine rotor (34), an impingement body (44) is arranged for the reducing agent or the precursor substance introduced into the exhaust gas and atomized, wherein a distance of the impingement body (44) from the swirl atomizer (43) corresponds to at most 7 times a diameter of the turbine rotor (34).

A mixing arrangement for mixing two solutions, a mixer settler unit and a use. The mixing arrangement includes a mixing device arranged in the mixing space for rotating therein, the mixing device comprising at least two helical bars supported around a shaft and rising upwards from the bottom section of the mixing space. The helical bars are fixed to the shaft with support spokes. The ratio of the diameter (D) of the mixing device to the average diameter (T) of the mixing space, that is D/T, is 0.47 at most.

A mixing device includes a mixing container rotatable about a first axis of rotation for receiving mixing material, which has a mixer opening and a mixer cover which can be reciprocated between an opened position and a closed position. The mixer cover in the closed position closes the mixer opening and in the opened position exposes the mixer opening. The mixing container is rotatably mounted to a machine stand. The mixer cover is so fixed to the machine stand that the mixing container in the closed position of the mixer cover is rotatable relative to the mixer cover about the first axis of rotation. The machine stand has a stationary element and a pivotal element, wherein the pivotal element is mounted pivotably about a pivot axis relative to the stationary element. The mixing container is mounted rotatably to the pivotal element and the mixer cover is fixed to the pivotal element.

A mixing chamber is loaded with a first fluid. While a volume of the first fluid within the mixing chamber is constant, first and second streams of a second fluid are injected into the mixing chamber along first and second injection directions. As a result of injecting the first and second streams of the second fluid into the mixing chamber, the first and second streams of the second fluid impinge one another so as to generate within the mixing chamber at least one further stream of the second fluid that mixes with the first fluid and that flows in a direction different to the first and second injection directions.
