PROCESS TO REMOVE ASPHALTENE FROM HEAVY OIL BY SOLVENT
Embodiments of the disclosure produce a method and system for deasphalting a hydrocarbon feed. The hydrocarbon feed and a first solvent is combined using a Taylor-Couette mixer to form a mixed stream. The mixed stream and a second solvent are introduced to an extractor to produce a first deasphalted oil stream and a pitch stream. The first deasphalted oil stream is introduced to a solvent recovery unit to recover the first solvent and the second solvent via a recovered solvent stream and to produce a second deasphalted oil stream.
APPARATUS BUFFER AND METHOD FOR PH CONTROL
An apparatus, buffer solutions and a method are provided for pH control of in vitro dissolution tests used to monitor the drug release rate from solid unit dosage forms which are used to predict their in vivo effects or for quality control purposes. A method of preparing a continuous condition and a clear bicarbonate ion based solution for in vitro dissolution testing of pharmaceutical products is also provided.
An enclosure device is also provided for use in the provision of pH control and stabilization to a bicarbonate based solution used in the in vitro dissolution testing of pharmaceutical products.
Mixing device
The invention generally relates to a mixing device. In certain embodiments, devices of the invention include a fluidic inlet, a fluidic outlet, and a chamber, the chamber being configured to produce a plurality of fluidic vortexes within the chamber.
GAS ENTRAINMENT SYSTEM FOR BEVERAGES
A system for adding a gas to a liquid including a gas over liquid accumulator having an interior volume with a headspace, a liquid level, an accumulator liquid inlet, an accumulator gas inlet, and an accumulator gas outlet connected to the headspace. A contactor having a contactor gas inlet and a contactor gas outlet and a first supply of gas connected to the accumulator gas inlet. A second supply of gas connected to the contactor gas inlet and a supply of liquid connected to the accumulator liquid inlet. A first valve disposed between the first supply of gas and the accumulator gas inlet, a second valve connected to the accumulator gas outlet, a third valve disposed between the supply of liquid and the accumulator liquid inlet, a fourth valve disposed between the contactor gas inlet and the second supply of gas; and a fifth valve connected to the contactor gas outlet.
HIGH-FLOW, HIGH-PRESSURE INLINE SATURATOR SYSTEM AND METHOD THEREOF
There is provided an inline saturator system and method for gas exchange with an aqueous-phase liquid. The system comprises a pressure vessel, configured to receive a first liquid and a first gas from external sources and to discharge a second liquid and a second gas from the pressure vessel, and a gas infusion device situated within the pressure vessel. The gas infusion device is configured to receive the first liquid and first gas, to facilitate gas exchange therebetween, producing the second liquid and the second gas, and to discharge the second liquid and second gas into the pressure vessel. The system further includes a recirculation system configured to direct a portion of liquid within the pressure vessel back into the saturator device, where injection of the redirected liquid into the gas infusion device forces the first liquid into the gas infusion device for the gas exchange.
Chemical mixing system and method
A chemical component mixing apparatus for use with a fluid source in creation of a concentrated solution mixture is described. The mixing apparatus includes at least one mixing station. The mixing station includes an injector assembly, where the injector assembly includes at least one venturi chamber having at least one suction port in fluid communication with the at least one venturi chamber. The apparatus also includes at least one super concentrate chemical component housed within a chemical container, where the chemical container is fluidly connected by a first tube to the at least one venturi chamber via the at least one suction port, a receiving container fluidly connected to the injector assembly via a second tube, and a fluid source inlet introducing a fluid into the at least one mixing station, where the pressure within the at least one mixing station is less than 150 psi. The fluid passes through the at least one venturi chamber, thereby drawing the at least one super concentrate chemical component into the venturi chamber, and the concentrated solution mixture is dispensed from the injector assembly into the receiving container.
METHOD FOR FOAMING ADHESIVE AND RELATED SYSTEM
The present invention relates to methods and systems for producing a foamed adhesive. A method for foaming an adhesive includes feeding an adhesive from a supply storage tank to a pump, conveying the adhesive outputted by the pump through an adhesive flow meter, injecting an air into the adhesive once the adhesive travels through the adhesive flow meter, feeding a mixture of the adhesive and air to a static mixer, mixing the mixture homogeneously with the static mixer such that the adhesive is foamed, and transporting the foamed adhesive to a product storage tank.
Method and device for cavitationally treating a fluid
A cavitation device and method for using the same is useful for cavitationally treating fluids by generation of hydrodynamic cavitation in the fluid followed by the subsequent collapse of cavitation bubbles. The passage of fluid through slot openings in a cylindrical insert mounted in a housing provides fluid jets in an annular cavity to induce hydrodynamic cavitation of the fluid. Fluid is discharged from the annular cavity into a downstream portion of the housing to collapse cavitation bubbles under static pressure.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR GENERATING STABILIZED, GAS INFUSED LIQUIDS CONTAINING HIGH AND ULTRA-HIGH CONCENTRATIONS OF INFUSED GAS, AND THE STABILIZED, GAS INFUSED LIQUIDS
A stabilized, gas-infused liquids containing ultra high concentrations of infused gas, produced by: generating a gas-infused liquid in a sealed vessel under a high pressure of at least 20 psi; stabilizing the gas-infused liquid by passing the liquid while still under the high pressure through a tubular flow path arrangement which compresses the infused gas into nano bubbles in the liquid; infusing an additional amount of the gas into the stabilized liquid by injecting the same, while still under high pressure, back into the sealed pressure vessel along with more of the gas; and again stabilizing the liquid by again passing liquid, while still under the high pressure, through the tubular flow path arrangement to thereby form the additional amount of infused gas into nano bubbles in the liquid.
System and method for generating stabilized, gas infused liquids containing high and ultra-high concentrations of infused gas, and methods using the stabilized, gas infused liquids
A method for producing stabilized, gas-infused liquids containing ultra high concentrations of infused gas, includes steps of: generating a gas-infused liquid in a sealed vessel under a high pressure of at least 20 psi; stabilizing the gas-infused liquid by passing the liquid while still under the high pressure through a tubular flow path arrangement which compresses the infused gas into nano bubbles in the liquid; infusing an additional amount of the gas into the stabilized liquid by injecting the same, while still under high pressure, back into the sealed pressure vessel along with more of the gas; and again stabilizing the liquid by again passing liquid, while still under the high pressure, through the tubular flow path arrangement to thereby form the additional amount of infused gas into nano bubbles in the liquid.
