A method for improving stability and/or absorption of one or more biologically active agents including preparing formulations wherein a biologically active agent is dispersed using a homogenizer and/or a nanofluidizer; and optionally: i) enriching the formulation; and/or ii) delivering the formulations to a subject whereby the biologically active agent is absorbed by said subject, and/or iii) testing the formulation to identify suitable dosing ranges using computational modeling of biomolecular pathways to determine at least one feature selected from absorption in a cell, saturation of a cell, and potential toxicity in a cell, and/or iv) testing the formulation by monitoring with a low impact, minimally intrusive heart rate variability monitoring to enable rapid determination of neurological and physiological effects of a dosage, establishing dosing levels of the biologically active agent, and/or v) defining the corresponding metabolic effects of the dosage of the biologically active agent on the subject.
Apparatus and Method for Manufacturing Cementitious Slurry Comprising Foam
According to the present invention, there is provided an apparatus (100) for manufacturing a cementitious slurry comprising foam, the apparatus comprising: a mixing chamber (101) for mixing a cementitious material and water to form a cementitious slurry, a channel (103) fluidly connected to the mixing chamber (101) at a first end (111), the channel (103) for receiving a cementitious slurry from the mixing chamber (101). In the apparatus (100), the channel (103) extends from the first end (111) and terminates at at least one second end (112). The channel (103) comprises a first foam inlet (106) for introducing foam into the channel (103). The channel (103) further comprises a second foam inlet for introducing foam into the channel (103). The first foam inlet (106) and the second foam inlet are offset along the length of the channel (103). A method using the apparatus (100) is also described.
Method for optimizing the energy consumption of an aerator in the field of water treatment
Disclosed is a method for managing the operation of an apparatus for injecting oxygen into a purification basin. The oxygen notably being used by the biomass present in the purification basin to consume the pollution present in an effluent feedstock contained in the basin. The method comprises varying a rotational speed of the shaft by using a frequency variator, wherein an applied variation in speed is between plus 15% and minus 15% of the nominal speed of the shaft.
Dry powder kneading apparatus
A dry powder kneading apparatus includes a main body including an inner space into which a mixture containing an active material, a conductive material, and a binder is supplied, and a screw inside the inner space of the main body, the screw being configured to move the mixture in one direction and to knead the mixture into fiberized dry powder, and a rotation torque of the screw being 1.4 kgf.Math.m to 42 kgf.Math.m.
ACOUSTIC ROTARY LIQUID PROCESSOR
An acoustic rotary liquid processor coupled with high-intensity ultrasonic vibration, rotary stirring, gas purging, and melt surface stabilizing is described. The processor can be used for the synthesis of particulate reinforced composite materials, scavenging dissolved gases in molten materials, and preparation of a slurry containing a small fraction of non-dendritic solid particles for semi-solid material processing.
SLURRY HOMOGENIZATION PROCESS AND USE THEREOF
A slurry homogenization process and a use thereof, including the following steps: performing a first pre-mixing operation on a main material, a first conductive agent, and a binder to obtain a first mixture; adding the first mixture into a first solvent, and sequentially performing a second pre-mixing operation and a first dispersing operation to obtain a second mixture; and adding a conductive slurry into the second mixture, sequentially performing a third pre-mixing operation and a second dispersing operation to obtain a third mixture, and performing a defoaming and cooling operation on the third mixture to obtain a homogenized slurry.
