METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR PREPARING SCLEROSANT FOAMS
A method for preparing a foamed sclerosant composition. One method includes introducing a liquid sclerosant composition into a foaming space of an interior of a container, the foaming space containing a mixing component having a magnetic part. Rotation of the mixing component is achieved by generating for a first holding time a rotating magnetic field at a first speed and after the first holding time generating for a second holding time the rotating magnetic field at a second speed greater than the first speed.
THERAPEUTIC PRODUCT MIXING METHODS
Methods for mixing fluids including etanercept include providing a tank having an impeller with a 10 inch blade diameter disposed therein, filling a tank with a liquid composition comprising etanercept and one or more buffers to a level within the tank to cover the impeller, and operating the impeller to mix the liquid composition to a homogeneous state while maintaining a maximum shear stress imparted on the mixture of fluids at 125,000 s.sup.1 or below.
Metering system
A metering system for applying a bead of a multi-component composite material to a component. The metering system comprises a mixing head including a mixing chamber. The metering system includes one supply line for each component of a multi-component composite material, leading from a source of each component to the mixing chamber. The mixing chamber is configured to mix the components of the multi-component composite material in the mixing chamber and has an outlet opening through which the mixed multi-component composite material exits the mixing head. The metering system includes a metering pump to convey a discharge of the multi-component composite material through the outlet opening. The metering system includes a control unit to output, to the metering pump, a control signal comprising control information and adjust a metering output of the multi-component composite material through the outlet opening of the mixing head based on the control signal.
MIXING CHAMBER SYSTEM
The invention provides a fluid mixer with a fluid reservoir, a ring within the fluid reservoir, a stirrer rotatably coupled in the ring, and a motor to rotate the stirrer. The ring has a wall defining an inner and outer portion of the fluid reservoir, with wall cutouts that allow fluid to pass from the inner portion to the outer portion. The stirrer has a center and multiple paddles, and the rear surface of a first paddle and the front surface of a second paddle define a mixing space, and rotation of the paddles pushes a fluid from the mixing space through one of the cutouts into the outer portion. The invention also provides a method of mixing a fluid, including introducing liquid into a fluid reservoir and a powder into a powder dispenser, activating a stirrer, and dispensing the powder into the liquid while the stirrer is rotating.
