Fluidized-bed process for manufacturing a fibrous material preimpregnated with thermoplastic polymer
The invention relates to a process for manufacturing a preimpregnated fibrous material containing a fibrous material made of continuous fibers and at least one thermoplastic polymer matrix, wherein the preimpregnated fibrous material is produced as a single unidirectional tape or of a plurality of parallel unidirectional tapes and wherein the process includes a step of impregnating, in particular fully and homogeneously, the fibrous material that is in the form of a roving or of several parallel rovings with the at least one thermoplastic polymer matrix that is in powder form, the impregnating step being carried out by a dry route in a tank and the control of the amount of the at least one thermoplastic polymer matrix in said fibrous material being achieved by control of the residence time of said fibrous material in the powder, with the exclusion of any electrostatic process with intentional charging.
Process for providing a homogenous slurry containing particles
The present invention is concerned with a process for providing a homogeneous particle-containing slurry comprising the steps of: (a) providing a vessel comprising at least one impeller rotating around a vertical axis of the vessel, wherein a rotational speed n.sub.1 of the at least one impeller is higher than n.sub.min according to equation (1), the vessel further comprising an inlet and an outlet; (b) introducing a particle-containing slurry into the vessel or introducing components forming the particle-containing slurry into the vessel; (c) rotating the at least one impeller at least around the vertical axis for homogenizing and/or maintaining a homogeneous particle distribution within the slurry; (d) withdrawing the homogeneous particle-containing slurry via the outlet; (e) reducing the rotational speed n.sub.1 of the at least one impeller to a reduced rotational speed n.sub.red, whereas n.sub.red is lower than n.sub.1 and higher or equal gas inlet than n.sub.min according to equation (1):

Device for treating particles having a vortex chamber defined by end walls at both ends and a circular wall, a rotation imparting device with a fluid feeder arranged in a mainly tangential direction, a particle outlet and a central fluid outlet, an auxiliary chamber coaxially arranged with the vortex chamber defining a treating zone, which auxiliary chamber has a circular outer wall and an end wall and opens into the vortex chamber through an opening in the end wall of the vortex chamber opposite the central fluid outlet, a device for injecting particles coaxially into the treating zone, and a device for feeding a treating fluid into the treating zone in mainly axial direction, wherein the ratio of the area of the opening to the cross-sectional area of the vortex chamber is less than 0.50.
Inflow Base for a Fluidizing Apparatus
An inflow base which is permeable to process air and includes openings for the process air which flows thought the inflow base. The inflow base is arranged in the fluidizing apparatus in a manner rotatable about an axis Z of the fluidizing apparatus and subdivides this into a distribution chamber and into a vortex chamber. The inflow base of the fluidizing apparatus includes at least a first and a second inflow base plate, wherein one of the inflow base plates at its outer end includes or forms a sealing element.
Chemical reaction apparatus
In order to suppress discharge of an unreacted content in a chemical reaction apparatus for irradiating a content with microwaves, a chemical reaction apparatus includes: a horizontal flow-type reactor in which a liquid content horizontally flows with an unfilled space being provided thereabove; a microwave generator that generates microwaves; and a waveguide that transmits the microwaves generated by the microwave generator to the unfilled space in the reactor, wherein the inside of the reactor is partitioned into multiple chambers to by overflow-type partition plates and that allow the content to flow thereover and an underflow-type partition plate that allows the content to flow thereunder.
STIRRED BED REACTOR
An apparatus for producing particles or material-coated particles by decomposition of precursor gas in a stirred or mixed particle bed comprises a reactor vessel, an actuator assembly comprising a shaft disposed at least partially within the reactor vessel, and an actuator element coupled to the shaft and rotatable therewith. The apparatus further comprises a precursor gas supply in fluid communication with the actuator assembly. The actuator assembly is configured to circulate seed particles of a seed particle bed in the reactor vessel with the actuator element, and to introduce precursor gas from the gas supply to the seed particle bed, when seed particles are received in the reactor vessel.
Catalyst support, recycle reactor and method for releasing hydrogen
A catalyst support may be provided that comprises: an inner core, which includes at least one phase change material; a coating layer around the inner core, which includes at least one metal oxide; a catalytically active layer, which is positioned in interstices of the coating layer and/or lying on the coating layer, wherein at least one catalytically active substance is included in the catalytically active layer; and a supporting layer which is positioned under the coating layer. A recycle reactor may be provided comprising a reservoir for accommodating a chemical hydrogen storage substance; the catalyst support; a screw conveyor for input and transport of the catalyst support; and a heating device with which the catalyst support can be heated. A method for releasing hydrogen from a chemical hydrogen storage substance may be provided.
DEVICE FOR TREATING PARTICLES IN A ROTATING FLUIDIZED BED
Device for treating particles having a vortex chamber defined by end walls at both ends and a circular wall, a rotation imparting device with a fluid feeder arranged in a mainly tangential direction, a particle outlet and a central fluid outlet, an auxiliary chamber coaxially arranged with the vortex chamber defining a treating zone, which auxiliary chamber has a circular outer wall and an end wall and opens into the vortex chamber through an opening in the end wall of the vortex chamber opposite the central fluid outlet, a device for injecting particles coaxially into the treating zone, and a device for feeding a treating fluid into the treating zone in mainly axial direction, wherein the ratio of the area of the opening to the cross-sectional area of the vortex chamber is less than 0.50.
Conversion system for wave-rotor reactor system
This invention provides for a self-sustaining fluidized bed reactor after the wave rotor reactor in which the reactor may be a fluidized bed reactor, a self-catalytic system, and may include an arrangement for the continuous removal and/or replenishment of particles in the fluidized bed, as well as possibly including a heater for heating the walls and/or a way for managing buildup of solids on the walls of the reactor.
APPARATUS FOR GENERATING A FLUIDIZED BED
The present disclosure relates to an apparatus for generating a fluidized bed comprising solid particles mixed with a fluid. The apparatus comprises a fluidization compartment wherein a bottom side comprises a fluid distributor for distributing a fluid into the fluidization compartment and wherein an upper side comprises an opening.
