APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING NON-AQUEOUS ELECTROLYTIC SOLUTION AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING NON-AQUEOUS ELECTROLYTIC SOLUTION
The apparatus for producing a non-aqueous electrolytic solution includes: a moisture adsorption apparatus accommodating zeolite through which an organic non-aqueous solvent passes, an electrolyte addition apparatus for adding an alkali metal salt electrolyte to the organic non-aqueous solvent treated by the moisture adsorption apparatus, and an acid adsorption apparatus accommodating a weakly basic anion exchange resin through which an alkali metal salt electrolyte-containing solution obtained by the electrolyte addition apparatus passes.
Liquid absorber, liquid absorbing unit, and liquid ejection apparatus
A liquid absorber includes a plurality of small chips. Individual ones of the small chips include a first substrate containing fibers, a second substrate containing fibers, and an absorbent resin supported between the first substrate and the second substrate. The first substrate contains an ion scavenger.
ADSORBENT BED WITH INCREASED HYDROTHERMAL STABILITY
Disclosed in certain embodiments are methods of removing water from a gas feed stream comprising hydrocarbons and water during an adsorption step of an adsorption cycle.
SORBENT MIXTURES TO REMOVE HEAVY METALS FROM WATER
Disclosed is a heavy metal adsorbing mixture that sequesters heavy metals such as lead from water. The mixture is formed from two of more lead sorbents. The lead sorbents exhibit a synergistic effect such that the lead adsorption of the mixture of materials is greater than the theoretical maximum absorption of the individual components of the mixture. Mixtures of lead sorbents that exhibit synergistic lead adsorption are characterized by elemental compositions within specified ranges by weight, as measured by x-ray fluorescence.
SYSTEM FOR THE CAPTURE AND PURIFICATION OF CO2 AND PURIFICATION UNIT OF SAID SYSTEM

EXHAUST GAS PURIFICATION CATALYST SYSTEM
Provided is an exhaust gas purification catalyst system comprising, in the following order, from the upstream side of an exhaust gas flow: a first exhaust gas purification catalyst apparatus 100 including a metal honeycomb substrate 110 and a first catalyst coat layer 120 on the metal honeycomb substrate 110; a heater 300; and a second exhaust purification catalyst apparatus 200 including a cordierite honeycomb substrate 210 and a second catalyst coat layer 220 on the cordierite honeycomb substrate 210, wherein the first catalyst coat layer 120 contains an adsorbent 130 that can adsorb one or two or more among NOx, HC and CO, and the second catalyst coat layer 220 contains inorganic oxide particles 230 and catalyst precious metal particles 240 supported on the inorganic oxide particles 230.
Porous membrane encapsulated pellet and method for its preparation
A method of encapsulating an engineered pellet in a porous membrane is disclosed. The method includes the steps of: (i) dissolving a membrane solute in a membrane solvent to produce a membrane solution; (ii) applying the membrane solution to a pellet to form a pellet encapsulated with the membrane solution; (iii) subjecting the membrane solution that encapsulates the pellet to a phase inversion and; (iv) drying the pellet to form a porous membrane encapsulated pellet. A porous membrane encapsulated pellet is also described.
Compositions for use in the simultaneous removal of endotoxins and uremic solutes during the treatment of patients
Disclosed are compositions for use in the simultaneous removal of endotoxins from dialysate and uremic solutes from blood during the treatment of patients. The treatment is selected from the group consisting of hemodialysis and hemodiafiltration. The compositions comprise sorbent particles embedded in a membrane comprising a polymer and a hydrophilic additive.
ADSORBENT COMPOSITION, AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR AND APPLICATION THEREOF
An adsorbent composition contains molecular sieves, hydrated alumina and alumina. The adsorbent composition is particularly suitable for removing polar compounds from low-carbon olefins.
COMBINED ADSORPTION AND CATALYSIS FOR CABIN AIR POLLUTION CONTROL
Disclosed in certain embodiments are systems for removing pollutants from an air flow, which may include a substrate and a catalyst-adsorbent material disposed on the substrate.
