MOLECULAR SIEVE COMPLEX, COMPOSITE MATERIAL AND APPLICATION THEREOF
A molecular sieve complex contains an oxide of aluminum, an oxide of an alkaline earth metal and a rare earth-modified molecular sieve. The rare earth-modified molecular sieve is a molecular sieve doped by a rare earth element. The percentage of the pore volume occupied by pores of 3 nm or less to the total pore volume in the molecular sieve complex is greater than or equal to 63.5%. The content of the rare earth element and the contents of the oxide of aluminum, the oxide of the alkaline earth metal and the molecular sieve satisfy a certain relationship. The composite material contains a molecular sieve complex and an auxiliary agent loaded on the molecular sieve complex, and the composite material may be applied to flue gas adsorption and desulfurization.
Water harvesting device
A water harvesting device includes at least a first adsorption column including a first inlet, a first outlet, and a first interior region. A sorbent material is located within the first interior region of the first adsorption column. The sorbent material includes a metal organic framework (MOF) material including a plurality of metal ions or clusters of metal ions coordinated to one or more organic linkers, a plurality of nanofabrics comprising a hydrogel material, or a combination thereof.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR GAS TREATMENT
A system and process for the recovery of at least one anesthetic from a gas stream including at least two anesthetics. The recovery includes adsorption by exposing the gas stream to an adsorbent. The adsorbent is then regenerated by exposing the adsorbent to a purge gas under conditions which efficiently desorb the at least two anethetics from the adsorbent. The at least two anesthetics (and impurities or reaction products) are condensed from the purge gas and subjected to fractional distillation to provide a recovered anesthetic.
Sorbent and devices for capturing, stabilizing and recovering volatile and semi-volatile compounds
The present invention provides an improved sorbent and corresponding device(s) and uses thereof for the capture and stabilization of volatile organic compounds (VOC) or semi-volatile organic compounds (SVOC) from a gaseous atmosphere. The sorbent is capable of rapid and high uptake of one or more compounds and provides quantitative release (recovery) of the compound(s) when exposed to elevated temperature and/or organic solvent. Uses of particular improved grades of mesoporous silica are disclosed.
IMPROVEMENTS IN LIQUID CHROMATOGRAPHY SUBSTRATES
A method for producing a porous copolymer monolith substrate for use in flow through liquid chromatography applications is disclosed. The method comprises forming a reaction composition comprising at least one monoethylenically unsaturated aryl monomer, at least one polyethylenically unsaturated aryl monomer, a RAFT agent, at least one liquid porogen, and a radical initiator. The reaction composition is introduced to a mold having a shape and dimensions suitable for forming a liquid chromatography substrate. The monoethylenically unsaturated aryl monomer, the polyethylenically unsaturated aryl monomer and the RAFT agent are copolymerised in the mold under conditions to form a solid copolymer network that is phase-separated from the reaction composition and/or any liquid components.
ADSORBENT FOR HYDROCARBON RECOVERY WITH IMPROVED MECHANICAL PROPERTIES
Disclosed in certain embodiments are adsorbents with improved mechanical properties for capturing heavy hydrocarbons during, for example, via thermal swing adsorption processes.
IMMOBILIZED DILUENTS FOR SMOKING ARTICLES
Immobilized diluents in a smoking article are provided, wherein diluents can be immobilized through absorption and/or adsorption of the diluents into immobilizing materials, such as sorbents like silica gels. By immobilizing diluents, the diluents can be available for vaporization, while still being protected from migration and/or loss of the diluents in a smoking article.
ACTIVATED CARBON FOR ADSORBING NEUTRAL PER- AND POLYFLUOROALKYL COMPOUNDS AND ANALYSIS METHOD FOR NEUTRAL PER- AND POLYFLUOROALKYL COMPOUNDS IN WATER SAMPLE
An activated carbon for adsorbing neutral per- and polyfluoroalkyl compounds used in quantitative analysis of neutral per- and polyfluoroalkyl compounds in a water sample includes an activated carbon having a BET specific surface area of 900 m2/g or more for desorbably adsorbing neutral per- and polyfluoroalkyl compounds distributed in a gas phase from the water sample by aerating or bubbling, with an inert gas as a carrier gas, the water sample sealed in a vessel and temperature-controlled to a temperature at which the neutral per- and polyfluoroalkyl compounds can be distributed in a gas phase.
Methods and systems for adsorbing organometallic vapor
Described are methods, devices, and systems useful for adsorbing organometallic vapor onto solid adsorbent material to remove the organometallic vapor from a gas mixture that contains the organometallic vapor and other vapor, particulate materials, or both.
