Tissue bonding insect repellent
The present disclosure generally provides topically applicable insect repelling compositions, and in some embodiments, topically applicable insect repelling and UV protecting compositions. The compositions comprise a polymerization product of a polyol, a diisocyanate and at least one insect-repelling compound. The resulting polymers advantageously bond superficially to skin or hair, thereby localizing repellents and preventing systemic absorption. While not being bound by theory, it is believed that the localization of repellents to the surface of the skin renders them safer, wherein such repellents are not vaporized and do not have a disagreeable odor. The repellents advantageously interact with tactile insect activity, thereby preventing parasitic activity, such as drawing blood or the communication of pathogens.

Compositions and methods to control insect pests
Methods and compositions are provided which employ a silencing element that, when ingested by a pest, such as a Coleopteran plant pest or a Diabarotica plant pest, decrease the expression of a target sequence in the pest. In specific embodiments, the decrease in expression of the target sequence controls the pest and thereby the methods and compositions are capable of limiting damage to a plant. The present invention provides various target polynucleotides set forth in any one of SEQ ID NOS: 1-236 or active variants and fragments thereof, wherein a decrease in expression of one or more the sequences in the target pest controls the pest (i.e., has insecticidal activity). Further provided are silencing elements which when ingested by the pest decrease the level of the target polypeptide and thereby control the pest. In specific embodiment, the pest is D. virgifera virgifera, D. barberi, D. speciosa, or D. undecimpunctata howardi. Plants, plant part, bacteria and other host cells comprising the silencing elements or an active variant or fragment thereof of the invention are also provided.

ANTIMICROBIAL COMPOSITION
An antimicrobial composition comprising extracts from a plurality of plants is provided. The plants are selected from the group consisting of woody plants; succulent plants; and/or grasses. The plurality of plants may include each of a woody plant; a succulent plant; and a grass. Also provided is a method of manufacturing an antimicrobial composition, the method including the step of combining extracts from a plurality of plants selected from the group consisting of woody plants, succulent plants, and/or grasses. A method of controlling a microorganism including the step of contacting the microorganism with the antimicrobial composition is further provided. The microorganism may be located within an air conditioning system.

Disinfection Composition and Preparation Method Therefor and Use Thereof
Provided is a disinfection composition, preparation method therefor and use thereof. The disinfection composition comprises the following raw materials in parts by weight: 2.2-4.8 parts of disinfection essential oil, 3-8 parts of polyethylene glycol hydrogenated castor oil, 0.05-0.5 parts of phytic acid, 0.05-0.5 parts of citric acid, 20-40 parts of a C.sub.2-C.sub.3 monohydric alcohol, and 45-62.1 parts of water. The disinfection composition of the present invention has significantly improved chemical stability, and still has good disinfection effect after storage for 3 months at 37° C., and has a significantly improved disinfection effect, a shortened action time, and an increased killing log value.

Use of crude corn oil for reducing phytotoxicity of pesticides and plant washes and enhancing overall plant health
The present invention relates to formulations of crude degummed corn oil (CDGCO) for use as plant biostimulants, for increasing yield and quality and for offsetting phytotoxic effects of active ingredients in pesticides and plant washes. Such formulations are typically combined with one or more emulsifier and a solvent, and or just an emulsifier or just a solvent, and combined with water and applied to plants as a spray or fog to foliage, or pruning cuts, or a a root zone drench, or to seeds. The invention improves upon existing pesticide formulations by reducing phytotoxicity. The invention provides for affordable plant biostimulant formulations for agriculture for producing better quality and higher yielding crops when subject to environmental stresses.
