Electrocatalyst composition comprising noble metal oxide supported on tin oxide
The present invention relates to a catalyst composition, comprising tin oxide particles which are at least partially coated by a noble metal oxide layer, wherein the composition contains iridium and ruthenium in a total amount of from 10 wt % to 38 wt %, and all iridium and ruthenium is oxidized, —has a BET surface area of from 5 to 95 m.sup.2/g, and —has an electrical conductivity at 25° C. of at least 7 S/cm.
Carbon based materials as solid-state ligands for metal nanoparticle catalysts
High activity metal nanoparticle catalysts, such as Pd or Pt nanoparticle catalyst, are provided. Adsorption of metal precursors such as Pd or Pt precursors onto carbon based materials such as graphene followed by solventless (or low-solvent) microwave irradiation at ambient conditions results in the formation of the catalysts in which metal nanoparticles are supported on i) the surface of the carbon based materials and ii) in/on/within defects/holes in the carbon based materials.
CATALYST FOR HYDROGENATION REACTION AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
The present invention can facilitate the reduction of nickel by using copper as an accelerator when a hydrogenation catalyst including nickel is produced by using a deposition-precipitation (DP) method. According to an embodiment of the present invention, provided is a catalyst for a hydrogenation reaction that includes 40-80 parts by weight of nickel as a catalyst active component, 0.01-5 parts by weight of copper as an accelerator, and 10-30 parts by weight of a silica support based on 100 parts by weight of the entire catalyst. Therefore, although a high content of nickel is supported, the catalyst has a small crystal size of an activated metal and a high degree of dispersion and provides excellent hydrogenation activity. In addition, silica with a controlled particle size distribution is used as a support, so that the produced catalyst also has a uniform particle size distribution and is suppressed from being smashed at a high-speed rotation in the hydrogenation reaction, thereby providing a high filtration rate.
AMMOXIDATION CATALYST FOR PROPYLENE, MANUFACTURING METHOD OF THE SAME CATALYST, AMMOXIDATION METHOD USING THE SAME CATALYST
There are provided an ammoxidation catalyst for propylene, a manufacturing method of the same, and an ammoxidation method of propylene using the same. Specifically, according to one embodiment of the invention, there is provided a catalyst having a structure in which metal oxide is supported on a silica carrier, having narrow particle size distribution, and having excellent attrition loss.
Method of preparing silica supported CoMoS hydrodesulfurization catalysts
A method of preparing hydrodesulfurization catalysts having cobalt and molybdenum sulfide deposited on a support material containing mesoporous silica. The method utilizes a sulfur-containing silane that dually functions as a silica source and a sulfur precursor. The method involves an one-pot strategy for hydrothermal treatment and a single-step calcination and sulfidation procedure. The application of the hydrodesulfurization catalysts in treating a hydrocarbon feedstock containing sulfur compounds to produce a desulfurized hydrocarbon stream is also specified.
ACID-BASE MEDIATED ION-EXCHANGE METAL LOADED ZEOLITE
The technology relates to a method of preparing a supported molybdenum catalyst, using a simultaneous acid-base mediated ion exchange process and continually monitoring pH, where molybdenum ions are dispersed inside zeolite channels and located in proximity to the acidic aluminum sites. This process leads to high catalytic activity and resistance to deactivation.
CATALYST FOR CHEMICAL LOOPING COMBUSTION
A catalyst for use in chemical looping combustion is provided. The catalyst includes a mixture of metal oxides dispersed on a ceramic support. The mixture of metal oxides forms a nickel tungsten oxide (NiWO.sub.4) interaction complex which functions as an oxygen carrier in the chemical looping combustion reaction.
COPPER ALUMINUM CATALYST USED FOR 1,4-BUTYNEDIOL PRODUCTION
The present invention is generally related to a novel catalytic composition and a method for the production of 1,4 -butynediol by catalytic ethynylation of formaldehyde, the said method is known as the Reppe reaction. The invented catalyst with lower copper content would provide an advantageous combination of improved utilization efficiency of copper, reduced copper leaching and enhanced filterability, and has minimal to no impact on catalytic activity.
Low-temperature de-NO.SUB.x .catalyst using ceria-alumina complex support and manufacturing method thereof
Disclosed are a low-temperature de-NO.sub.x catalyst using a ceria-alumina complex support, and a method of manufacturing the same. According to the present invention, provided is a low-temperature de-NO.sub.x catalyst using a ceria-alumina complex support, manufactured by impregnating noble metal and metal oxides into a ceria-alumina complex support synthesized by treating a ceria precursor and an alumina precursor in a predetermined mass ratio by a co-precipitation method.
METHOD FOR MAKING COPPER-CONTAINING CATALYSTS
A method for preparing a copper-containing catalyst is described comprising the steps of: (a) combining an acidic copper-containing solution with a first basic precipitant solution in a first precipitation step to form a first precipitate, (b) combining an acidic aluminium-containing solution, further comprising one or more metal compounds selected from copper compounds, zinc compounds and promoter compounds, with a second basic precipitant solution in a second precipitation step to form a second precipitate, (c) contacting the first and second precipitates together in a further mixing step to form a catalyst precursor, and (d) washing, drying and calcining the catalyst precursor to form the copper-containing catalyst, wherein a silica precursor is included in the first precipitation step, the second precipitation step or the precipitate mixing step, to provide a catalyst with a silica content, expressed as S102, in the range of 0.1 to 5.0 wt%.
