Stirrer, apparatus of manufacturing quantum dot including the same, and method of manufacturing quantum dot using the quantum dot manufacturing apparatus
A stirrer includes a magnetic bar and a microwave absorbing layer around the magnetic bar. The stirrer absorbs a microwave and converts the microwave to thermal energy to heat the mixed solution reactant.
Microwave assisted fluidized bed reactor
System and methods for plasma treatment of a fluidized bed of particles are disclosed. The systems include an energy coupling zone configured to generate a plasma from microwave radiation and an interface element configured to propagate the plasma from the energy coupling zone to a reaction zone. The reaction zone is configured to receive the plasma, receive a plurality of reactant particles in a fluidization plane direction from a fluidization assembly positioned below the reaction zone, and form a product in presence of the plasma. The fluidization plane is substantially perpendicular to the propagated plasma.
Method and system for controlled synthesis of nanodiamonds
Method and system for controlled nanodiamond synthesis based on treating of a specially prepared solid carbon source target including carbon containing material in liquid media by irradiation energy beam focused at a predetermined distance from the target surface and having parameters to produce a light-hydraulic effect impacting the target surface and leading to the forming of diamond nanocrystals.
Pressure Stepped Microwave Assisted Digestion
An instrument and method for high pressure microwave assisted chemistry are disclosed. The method includes the steps of applying microwave radiation to a sample in a sealed vessel while measuring the temperature of the sample and measuring the pressure generated inside the vessel and until the measured pressure reaches a designated set point, opening the vessel to release gases until the pressure inside the vessel reaches a lower designated set point, closing the vessel, and repeating the steps of opening the vessel at designated pressure set points and closing the vessel at designated pressure set points to the sample until the sample reaction reaches a designated high temperature. The designated set points can controllably differ from one another as the reaction proceeds. Microwave energy can be applied continuously or intermittently during the opening and closing steps. The apparatus includes a microwave cavity, a microwave transparent pressure resistant reaction vessel in the cavity, a cap on the reaction vessel, a pressure sensor for measuring pressure in the vessel, a temperature sensor, and means for opening and closing the cap at predetermined pressure set points measured by the pressure sensor to release pressure from the vessel.
APPARATUS FOR HALOGENATION OF POLYMER
An apparatus for halogenation of a polymer is disclosed. The apparatus includes a reactor, at least one light source, a stirrer and a heater. The reactor contains a slurry of the polymer. The light source is disposed outside of the reactor at a distance ranging from 0.5 centimeter to 2 centimeters for facilitating irradiance of the slurry. The light source radiates a light of wavelength in the range of 250 nm to 355 nm. The stirrer is adapted to agitate the slurry. The heater is adapted to heat the slurry of the polymer. The blades on the stirrer and light source are arranged in such a way that slurry is maintained in uniform motion and reacted homogeneously to achieve desired conversion efficiently.
Electrochemically recycling a lithium-ion battery
Examples are disclosed that relate to methods and reactors for recycling a positive electrode material of a lithium-ion battery. One example provides a method of recycling a positive electrode material of a lithium-ion battery. The positive electrode material comprises a metal m having a n+ oxidation state (m.sup.n+). A reaction mixture is formed comprising the positive electrode material, an oxidizing agent, and lithium ions. The positive electrode material is electrochemically replenished with lithium via electrochemical reduction of the lithium ions while maintaining the n+ oxidation state of the metal m in the positive electrode material via the oxidizing agent.
Device for generating and supplying germanium ionic water
The present invention can supply a pulse to a pure germanium rod made of germanium so as to significantly increase concentration in a short period of time and shorten dissolving time, and relates to a device for generating and supplying germanium ionic water, which can promote the ionization of germanium.
Nanodiamond reduction photochemistry
Disclosed is a method of irradiating a composition having water and hydrogen-terminated nanodiamonds with light that generates water-solvated electrons from the nanodiamonds. The method can be used to degrade fluoroalkyl compounds such as perfluorooctane sulfonate.
