Reactor
Provided is a reactor in which a catalyst to accelerate reaction of a reactant is allowed to act on a reaction fluid having the reactant. The reactor has a partition that defines, in a parallel form, a plurality of reaction flow passages through which the reaction fluid flows, and a plurality of catalyst structures, each having a catalyst and being respectively provided in each of the plurality of reaction flow passages. The partition has a communicating portion allowing the plurality of reaction flow passages to communicate mutually.
REACTOR
A reactor has a heat exchanging body including therein a heat medium flow channel in which heat medium flows, and a reaction flow channel in which a reaction fluid flows, to exchange heat between the heat medium and the reaction fluid. A heat transfer promoter is provided in the heat medium flow channel and comes in close contact with the heat exchanging body to promote heat transfer between the heat medium and the heat exchanging body. The heat transfer promoter is an assembly of partial heat transfer promoters of a plurality of types. Replacing the partial heat transfer promoter with another type one, temperature distribution in the heat exchanging body is adjusted.
Reactor
An end surface of each first side wall, an end surface of each first middle wall, and an end surface of each first end wall are joined to an adjacent second structure by diffusion bonding, an end surface of each second side wall, an end surface of each second middle wall, and an end surface of each second end wall are joined to an adjacent first structure or a lid structure by diffusion bonding, a thickness of each first side wall is greater than or equal to a thickness of each first middle wall, and a thickness of each second side wall is greater than or equal to a thickness of each second middle wall.
High aspect ratio catalytic reactor and catalyst inserts therefor
The present invention relates to high efficient tubular catalytic steam reforming reactor configured from about 0.2 inch to about 2 inch inside diameter high temperature metal alloy tube or pipe and loaded with a plurality of rolled catalyst inserts comprising metallic monoliths. The catalyst insert substrate is formed from a single metal foil without a central supporting structure in the form of a spiral monolith. The single metal foil is treated to have 3-dimensional surface features that provide mechanical support and establish open gas channels between each of the rolled layers. This unique geometry accelerates gas mixing and heat transfer and provides a high catalytic active surface area. The small diameter, high aspect ratio tubular catalytic steam reforming reactors loaded with rolled catalyst inserts can be arranged in a multi-pass non-vertical parallel configuration thermally coupled with a heat source to carry out steam reforming of hydrocarbon-containing feeds. The rolled catalyst inserts are self-supported on the reactor wall and enable efficient heat transfer from the reactor wall to the reactor interior, and lower pressure drop than known particulate catalysts. The heat source can be oxygen transport membrane reactors.
FEEDSTOCK SUPPLY DEVICE
A feedstock supply device according to one aspect of the present disclosure produces a reactive gas from a solution in which a solid feedstock has been dissolved in a solvent or from a dispersion system in which a solid feedstock has been dispersed into a dispersion medium. This feedstock supply device comprises: a container having a first wall surface forming an internal space; a spray nozzle for spraying the solution or the dispersion system into the internal space; and a wall structure provided to the internal space and having a second wall surface extending in the vertical direction.

Heat exchanger
This heat exchanger (100) includes a core portion (1), a header portion (2), and an intermediate member (3), and the curvature radius of a corner (31a to 31d) of the intermediate member is configured to be smaller than the curvature radius at a header portion side.
A REFORMER FOR A FUEL CELL SYSTEM
A fuel cell system comprising a fuel cell stack, an evaporator for evaporating a mixture of methanol and water to be forwarded through a catalytic reformer for producing portions of free hydrogen. The fuel cell stack being composed of a number of proton exchange membrane fuel cells each featuring electrodes in form of an anode and a cathode for delivering an electric current. The system provides an enhanced catalytic reformer for a fuel cell system, which enables a compact design of the reformer for integration into a flat, rack mountable system.

ZERO EMISSION POWER PLANT WITH CO2 WASTE UTILIZATION
A clean energy system, a renewable energy system or a zero emission energy system (ZEES) to utilize CO.sub.2 waste. The energy system may include a fuel processor, an energy catalytic reactor, and a power generator. The fuel processor may catalytically convert the CH.sub.4 component in the natural gas, biogas or syngas into a reformate including H.sub.2, CO, CO.sub.2 and H.sub.2O species. The energy reactor may convert the reformate in gas form into a liquid fuel. The power generator may generate power using an output of the fuel processor and/or an output of the energy reactor.
