Sheet material cutting apparatus, and associated method
A cutting apparatus and an associated method for slitting a tobacco sheet material into cut pieces used to form smoking articles are provided. The cutting apparatus includes a rotatable cutter assembly having a drum member configured to rotate about an axis defined thereby. The cutter assembly includes a plurality of knife members disposed about the periphery of the drum member and extending radially therefrom. A fixed counter-knife assembly is disposed adjacent to the periphery of the drum member and is configured to interact with the rotatable cutter assembly during rotation thereof about the axis. The counter-knife assembly includes a ledger member having a plurality of cutting insert members removably engaged therewith. The cutting insert members are configured to interact with the knife members during rotation of the cutter assembly with respect to the counter-knife assembly so as to slit the tobacco sheet material received therebetween into cut pieces.

APPARATUS FOR COMMINUTING POURABLE FEEDSTOCK AND METHOD FOR OPENING SUCH AN APPARATUS
A device for comminuting pourable feedstock as well as a method for opening a device of this type. The device includes a housing, which encloses a comminution chamber, in which a rotor rotating around a rotation axis is arranged, the rotor being equipped with rotor tools over its circumference. A sieve holder, whose sieve extends along a circumferential section of the rotor, is used to separate the sufficiently comminuted material. The feedstock supplied to the rotor via a material infeed is removed from the device via a material discharge after being sufficiently comminuted. To improve accessibility to the interior of the device, it is proposed that, to open the housing, the sieve holder is pivotable around a first pivot axis from a closed first position into an open second position and additionally around a second pivot axis into a third position.
Dual cutter assembly and submersible shredder pump having a dual cutter assembly
A cutter assembly and high volume submersible shredder pump. These are for reducing the size of solids within a liquid which is to be pumped by chopping, grinding, shredding or cutting. An improvement over prior designs employs a cutting assembly and an associated shredder pump, wherein the cutting assembly has a centrally positioned dual sided plate cutter which engages first and second rotary cutters on alternate sides of a centrally positioned dual sided plate cutter. In operation the waste water contents have a much finer grind which improves efficient removal and reduces the likelihood of shredder pump clogging. The cutter assembly is adapted for mounting to an intake opening of a stationary volute, associated with a shredder pump. As a result, many more cutting surfaces are provided which more effectively and quickly shred the solid materials within the liquid to be expelled.
AN APPARATUS FOR PULVERIZING MATERIAL INCLUDING A STATIONARY HOUSING
The present invention relates to an apparatus (1) for pulverizing a material. The apparatus comprises a stationary housing (3) having an interior space and at least one interior wall facing the interior space. At least one sawblade (9) is disposed in the interior space and arranged rotatable with respect to the stationary housing (3). The at least one sawblade (9) has a periphery (12) provided with a plurality of cutting teeth (15) for cutting the material and a plurality of collecting notches (17) for collecting the cut material. The apparatus comprises an inlet opening (19) for feeding material to the interior space, and an outlet opening (21) for dispatching pulverized material from the interior space. The interior wall (7) of the housing is provided with a plurality of recesses (23) facing the periphery (12) of the sawblade (9), arranged to receive the cut material from the collecting notches (17) of the sawblade (9), and to revert the cut material to the periphery (12) of the sawblade (9) so that the material will be cut multiple times before it is dispatched from the apparatus. The interior wall (7) surrounds a main part of the periphery (12) of the at least one sawblade (9), and the inlet opening (19) and the outlet opening (21) are arranged in the interior wall (7) and in direct communication with the interior space (5) so that the material enters and leaves the interior space (5) during one revolution of the at least one sawblade (9).
SHREDDING DEVICE
The present invention has an object to provide a shredding device which can efficiently shred the bagged garbage discharged from homes or business offices. The shredding device in accordance with the present invention includes a housing, a rotary shaft rotatably attached to an inside of the housing, a plurality of rotary blades attached around the rotary shaft to be spaced apart from one another in an axial direction of the rotary shaft, and a fixed blade attached to a bottom plate of the housing so that an article to be processed is shredded between the fixed blade and the rotary blades, wherein a lifting device which changes a distance between a tip of the rotary blade and a tip of the fixed blade by raising and lowering the rotary shaft is provided.

A method for separating composite materials and mixtures, in particular solid-material mixtures and slags, and to a device for carrying out said method. The method for separating composite materials and mixtures comprises the step of transporting the composite material or the mixture through a separating device. The composite material to be separated or the mixture to be separated is excited by mechanical impulses as it passes through the separating device and is thereby separated. The device (1) for carrying out the method comprises a drive unit (21) for driving a rotor element (32), which is connected to a bearing/shaft unit (22) and which is part of a rotor unit (31). The rotor element itself has at least one rotor tool (33) and each rotor tool has at least one rotor tool component (34) and is surrounded by a stator element (42), which is part of a stator unit (41). The stator element itself has at least one stator tool (43) and each stator tool has at least one stator tool component (44). The rotor element and the stator element are substantially cylindrical.

An apparatus for decompressing/pulverizing and fluffing up bales of compressed thermal insulation includes grinding wheel and a grinding die adjacent thereto thereby forming a gap therebetween. The grinding wheel is constructed with a plurality of plane members cut from flat steel material and stacked longitudinally about a rotatable shaft. The plane members each include a perimeter surface which together form the grinding wheel mantle surface and protrusions thereon. Coupling rods extend through aligned holes in the stacked plane members and retain the plane members in their stacked positions. The grinding die is constructed with a plurality of die plates cut from flat steel material and which are stacked longitudinally. The die plates each include an abutment surface which together form the grinding die surface and protrusions thereon. Coupling rods similarly extend through aligned holes in the stacked die plates and retain the die plates in their stacked positions.

The primary shattering device includes a shattering box, a first motor, a first transmission rod, a plurality of tool frames, a plurality of blades, at least one screen mesh, a plurality of fixed cutters and a guide hopper. The secondary shattering device includes a first roller, a second roller, a second transmission rod and a set of helical gears. The three-stage shattering device includes a second motor, a set of tapered blade sets and a plurality of strain sensors. This realizes the regeneration of new mixed materials and the chemical properties of materials control of some micro changes such as material morphology.
