PROCESS AND APPARATUS FOR APPLYING MASSES ONTO FOODS
20190275547 · 2019-09-12 ·

Apparatus for applying masses onto foods and a process for producing coated foods that can be carried out thereby. A mass is applied onto foods using a flow channel at the inlet end of which a supply conduit for the mass is arranged, the mouth of which is fixed in a region which extends from a distance in front of the inlet end up to within the flow channel.

ELECTROSTATIC SPRAY CHILLING OF FOODSTUFFS
20190254297 · 2019-08-22 ·

An electrostatic spray chilling system is configured to rapidly cool foodstuffs. A conveyor traverses foodstuffs through a chilling tunnel. A chilled primary airflow is provided to the chilling tunnel to cool the foodstuffs. As the foodstuff is traversed through the chilling tunnel, spray modules generate and apply sprays of electrostatically charged fluid onto the foodstuff. The charged fluid droplets are attracted to the grounded foodstuff. The charged fluid droplets can be guided onto the foodstuff by secondary fans, configured to generate subflows of the chilled primary air, and by air guiding baffles.

Low pressure 2-K handheld spray gun

A low pressure limited overspray handheld aerosol spray gun for spraying a two-component adhesive, a method for spraying a two-component adhesive and a two-component adhesive obtainable by that method. In manufacturing of larger objects, such as matrasses and furniture, adhesives are often applied to fix parts of the large object together. Most adhesives are applied using either air-spray equipment or air-assisted spray equipment.

Aerosol unit

The present disclosure provides an aerosol unit for an aerosol dispenser. The aerosol unit includes an axially oriented body, having a distal inlet part and a proximal outlet part. The aerosol unit also includes a carrier member arranged in the body, transversally to the axis between the inlet part and the outlet part. The carrier member includes through-holes which place the inlet part in fluid communication with the outlet part, and the carrier member is insert-moulded into the body such that a contact surface between the carrier and the body forms an air-tight seal.

Handheld spray gun

A sprayer includes a spray gun and a hopper. An air source provides compressed air to the sprayer to both eject fluid from the spray gun as a spray and to pressurize the hopper. The spray gun includes passages for providing compressed air to the nozzle for spraying and to the hopper for pressurizing the hopper. The spray gun further includes a relief valve for venting pressurized air from the hopper. The hopper receives the compressed air through a port in the hopper, and the compressed air assists the flow of material out of the hopper and into the spray gun.

Multi-orifice nozzle for droplet atomization

The multi-orifice nozzle for droplet atomization includes a head having a plurality of liquid supply channels, a plurality of liquid supply channel entrance openings, and a plurality of liquid supply channel exit openings. A pressure cap is positioned proximate the head, the pressure cap defining a pressure chamber and a plurality of pressure chamber exit orifices defined in the pressure cap. An alignment spacer is defined on the head and interfaces with the pressure cap such that each of the plurality of pressure chamber exit orifices is aligned with a corresponding liquid supply channel exit opening of the plurality of liquid supply channel exit openings. The alignment spacer prevents relative rotation between the head and the pressure cap and space each of the plurality of pressure chamber exit orifices from the corresponding liquid supply channel exit opening of the plurality of liquid supply channel exit openings.

HANDHELD TEXTURE SPRAY GUN WITH HOPPER

A sprayer includes a spray gun and a hopper. An air source provides compressed air to the sprayer to both eject fluid from the spray gun as a spray and to pressurize the hopper. The spray gun includes an airflow controller for controlling the flow of the compressed air to a nozzle of the spray gun, a pressure regulator for regulating a pressure of the compressed air flowing to the hopper, and a relief valve between the pressure regulator and the hopper. The hopper receives the compressed air through a port in the hopper, and the compressed air assists the flow of material out of the hopper and into the spray gun.

Two-phase flow nozzle

A two-phase flow nozzle, having limited dimensions of main parts relating to size of atomized particle and having practical means to assure the important dimension is provided. The nozzle is composed with the first liquid passage, the liquid nozzle with a liquid splaying exit, a concave located at an end of the liquid nozzle where said liquid exit is located lower than said end of liquid nozzle, a gas nozzle having a gap to supply compressed gas for atomizing from the outer periphery of said liquid nozzle to the liquid injected from said liquid exit, and a gas nozzle having a gas exit, wherein said gap is formed by sticking the minute extrusion composed integrally on said liquid nozzle with said gas nozzle or sticking the minute extrusion composed integrally on said gas nozzle with said liquid nozzle.

On-demand high volume, low pressure spray system

Various embodiments concern a sprayer having a blower that outputs a HVLP flow of air into a hose, the hose connecting with a spray gun. A pressure sensor measures pressure of the HVLP air within the hose via a tube that branches from a fitting to which the hose connects. If the sensor indicates that the pressure level has increased above a threshold amount, indicating that the trigger of the spray gun is not being actuated, then power output to the blower is reduced (e.g., stopped). HVLP air is trapped within the hose by two valves when the trigger is not actuated. When the sensor indicates that the pressure level has decreased, corresponding to release of the trapped HVLP air into the gun for spraying by actuation of the trigger, power to the blower is increased (e.g., resumed).
