Piston limit sensing for fluid application
A liquid delivery system includes a source of hydraulic fluid and a hydraulic cylinder fluidically coupled to the source of hydraulic fluid and having a hydraulic piston movable between first and second limit positions. The liquid delivery system includes a rod connected to the piston and extending out of the hydraulic cylinder and a sensor device located outside the hydraulic cylinder and configured to sense a position of the rod and to generate a signal indicating the sensed position. The liquid delivery system includes a liquid cylinder comprising a liquid piston, operably driven by the rod, to pump a liquid along a flow path to a fluid applicator.
AGRICULTURAL IMPLEMENT WITH ON-BOARD HYDRAULIC PUMP OR ELECTRICAL GENERATOR
An agricultural trailed implement includes a chassis with tongue for hitching to a tractor. A housing is integrated into a loadbearing section of the tongue. A pump or generator is mounted inside the housing and is driven by a PTO shaft connected to an attached tractor. The pump housing may define a sump which provides a fluid reservoir to supply the pump in a hydraulic circuit.
NEGATING CHECK VALVE
A positive displacement pump for dispensing fluid includes a fluid body sub-assembly including a fluid body and a negating check valve. The negating check valve includes a negating body defining a dispensing opening. The fluid body and the negating body form a flow path for the fluid. The fluid is dispensed through the dispensing opening. The positive displacement pump is primed by allowing trapped air within the flow path to flow out of the dispensing opening. The negating check valve may be fully or partially attached to the fluid body. The trapped air within the flow path flows out of the dispensing opening when the negating check valve is partially attached to the fluid body.
High-Purity Dispense Unit
Techniques herein include a bladder-based dispense system using an elongate bladder configured to selectively expand and contract to assist with dispense actions. This dispense system compensates for filter-lag, which often accompanies fluid filtering for microfabrication. This dispense system also provides a high-purity and high precision dispense unit. A modular hydraulic unit houses the elongate bladder and hydraulic fluid in contact with an exterior surface of the bladder. When pressurized process fluid is in the elongate bladder, hydraulic controls can selectively reduce pressure on the bladder to cause expansion, and then selectively increase hydraulic pressure to assist with a dispense action.
PULSED AEROPONIC AGRICULTURAL GROWTH SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A system for pulsed aeroponic plant growth without using a media substrate to support plant roots includes a growth platform, a mixing tank, and a hydraulic delivery system, wherein the growth platform is shaped to form multiple apertures, each configured to support a growth ring, and the hydraulic delivery system includes sensors, a high pressure pump, multiple inline valves, and multiple micro-sprayers, the high pressure pump, inline valves, and micro-sprayers being hydraulically coupled to the mixing tank. The mixing tank is configured to combine nutrients in water to generate a nutrient solution for a nutrient solution mist for release through micro-sprayers located in proximity to one or more growth rings, and the hydraulic delivery system is configured to pulse the release of the nutrient solution mist during a feeding cycle at a selected pulse-width.
PIPE DOPING APPARATUS
An apparatus and associated methods for an automated pipe doping apparatus. The apparatus may include a pump fluidly coupled to a reservoir and a dope manifold, the pump positioned to pump pipe dope from the reservoir to the dope manifold; an ejector coupled to the dope manifold, the ejector positioned to supply a fixed volume of pipe dope from the dope manifold to a dope distribution line; and a pipe dope applicator, the pipe dope applicator fluidly coupled to the dope distribution line positioned to deposit pipe dope on a threaded connection. In some embodiments, the pipe dope applicator may be a fan-pattern nozzle. In other embodiments, the pipe dope applicator may be a mold-type applicator. In other embodiments, the pipe dope applicator may be a brush-type applicator.
Apparatus for conveying viscous material
An apparatus for conveying viscous material out of a barrel-like container having a container bottom and a container wall that extends upward from the container bottom has a follower plate for closing off the container, which plate is movable in the direction toward the container bottom, lying against the inner surface of the container wall, which surface faces the container interior, and which plate has a dome that extends upward from an underside intended to lie on the viscous material, which dome opens, in the center, into a material exit opening. The apparatus has a pump for conveying the viscous material through the material exit opening. At least one displacement body projects into the dome through the material exit opening and is connected with the pump for displacement of the material situated in the dome and/or air situated in the dome, and at least one closeable venting opening vents the dome.
BRUSHLESS PUMP MOTOR SYSTEM
Systems and methods can control a pumping system. Operating characteristics of a driving apparatus are obtained. The driving apparatus is operatively coupled to a pump and operates to effect operation of the pump. Additionally, instructions are provided to an electronic speed controller. In particular, the instructions direct the electronic speed controller to control activity of the driving apparatus.
EXHAUST AIR CONDUIT FOR A COATING AGENT PUMP
An exhaust air conduit for a pneumatically powered pump, in particular, from a coating agent pump in a painting plant, is provided. The conduit includes an inlet for receiving the exhaust air from the pump, an outlet for discharging the exhaust air, and an exhaust air channel in which the exhaust air flows from the inlet to the outlet of the exhaust air conduit, and a housing member in which the exhaust air channel extends. A first thermal insulation element is provided in the region of a direction change of the exhaust air channel, in order to prevent an accumulation of the exhaust air directly at the inner wall of the exhaust air channel and thereby to lessen the cooling of the housing member.
The liquid deliver system includes a rod connected to the piston and extending out of the hydraulic cylinder and a sensor device located outside the hydraulic cylinder and configured to sense a position of the rod and to generate a signal indicating the sensed position. The liquid delivery system includes a liquid cylinder comprising a liquid piston, operably driven by the rod, to pump a liquid along a flow path to a fluid applicator.
