Fluid dispensing apparatus and method

A fluid dispenser including a body, a chamber coupled to or formed as part of the body and configured to contain a quantity of fluid, and a piston coupled to the body and rotatable within the chamber to different position. The piston is movable relative to the chamber in a first direction along an axis to draw fluid into the chamber, and the piston is movable relative to the chamber in a second direction opposite the first direction to discharge fluid from the chamber. The piston has stroke lengths that are selectable via the different rotational positions of the piston and that are associated with metered quantities of fluid to be drawn into the chamber. An anti-reversal feature is disposed between the piston and the body. The anti-reversal feature inhibits reversal of the piston during movement of the piston in the first direction or the second direction.

A non-metal pump type cosmetic container according to an embodiment of the present invention may efficiently process recycling after use. Also, Due to an operation of the elastic pump that is more flexible than a rigid metal spring, pumping may be achieved and thus a cosmetic material may be sensitively discharged even by a small force, leading to increases in tactile sensitivity and operational sensitivity. In addition, the structure of the elastic pump formed of resin having a relatively good deformation property is improved such that the elastic pump delicately may descend without being distorted during deformation, contributing to an improvement in product reliability according to a precise operation of each component.

Solution dispensing device

A solution dispensing device includes a housing having an upper section and a lower section. The upper section is comprised of a push button exposed through the exterior of the upper section. The push button is movably connected to at least a first air chamber and at least one solution chamber. The solution chamber is in fluid communication with the solution reservoir and a discharge nozzle. The first air chamber is fluidly connected to the discharge nozzle. The push button is coupled to an elongated mixing rod that protrudes into the lower section. The lower section comprises an interior volume that functions as a solution reservoir. A solution mixer is rotatably coupled to the elongated mixing rod. Upon a press of the push button the solution in the solution chamber and the air in the at least a first air chamber will mix and exit the discharge nozzle.

In-wall dispensing modules, such as room freshener modules, can reside in a housing with a cover that can be opened to access an interior space of the module to, inter alia, replace used containers. The housings are configured to reside inside a wall of a room. The front cover can be a planar cover that is flush, slightly recessed or slightly protrudes from the wall. The housings can be a “custom” housing size and/or may be configured to occupy a single gang box or a compartment of a multi-gang junction box. The modules can include an actuator that can cause a canister to emit scented fluid at desired intervals and/or on-demand. The modules can have a User Interface (UI) wireless and/or wired connection to a whole-house “smart” system.
