Inhaler
An inhaler, preferably for insertion into a nostril, in particular a horse's nostril, with a pressure generator, which has a tensioning device for the drive, and with a tensioning mechanism for tensioning the tensioning device, whereby the tensioning mechanism has a lever gear for tensioning the tensioning device.
PUMP MECHANISM FOR A SPRAY DISPENSER
A pump mechanism for a spray dispenser, comprising a piston assembly movable with respect to a housing between charged and initial positions. The piston assembly comprises liquid and gas seals, being movable boundaries of respective chambers whose volume is determined by the position of the seal relative to the housing. When the piston assembly moves toward the charged position, the volume of the liquid chamber increases to draw liquid into the liquid chamber and the changing volume of the gas chamber changes the pressure of gas in that chamber from its pressure when the piston assembly was in the initial position. This biases the piston assembly to return from the charged position toward the initial position, that return movement of the piston assembly pressurising the liquid in the liquid chamber for dispensing.
Method for coating a surface of a component
The invention relates to a method for coating a surface (44), in particular a microstructured surface, of a component (55) comprising different materials, in particular glass and silicon, wherein the surface (44) is first activated and then coated, wherein an oxidising solution, a basic solution or an acid-oxidising solution is used to activate the surface (44).
ACTUATED-VALVE METERING
According to a first aspect of the disclosure, a spray device is provided for generating an aerosol. The spray device comprises a reservoir for containing a store of a liquid; a delivery chamber for containing a dose of the liquid received from the reservoir prior to ejection; a perforate element comprising one or more nozzles; a drive mechanism configured to drive liquid from the delivery chamber through the one or more nozzles; and a fluid metering system. The fluid metering system comprises an actuated valve that is actuatable between a closed position and an open position. The opening and closing of the actuated valve can be sequenced to control the flow of fluid from the reservoir to the delivery chamber.
Nebulizer and cartridge
A cartridge and a nebulizer for nebulizing a fluid as well as a method for fluidically connecting the cartridge to the nebulizer are proposed. The cartridge comprises a closure with a valve, wherein the valve displaces fluid into the nebulizer when opened. Further, the cartridge forms two axially spaced sealings with the nebulizer when connected.
Inhalation device
An inhalation device including a housing; a reservoir for storing a liquid; a pumping unit including a riser pipe; a hollow cylindrical part having an interior space and being linearly moveable on the riser pipe, the pumping chamber fluidically connected with the reservoir; a nozzle connected liquid-tight to a downstream end portion of the riser pipe; wherein the linear relative motion can be effected by a relative rotation around a rotational axis of a rotatable part with respect to a counterpart converting the relative rotation into the linear relative motion by a gear mechanism comprising at least one cam surface having a first section and a second section, a spring for the storage of potential energy, wherein the cam surface has, between the first section and the second section, a third section of constant height upon which no linear relative motion occurs while the counterpart slides along it.
INHALER
An inhaler, preferably for insertion into a nostril, in particular a horse's nostril, with an inhalation valve, which has a movable valve element, whereby the valve element is designed in an annular manner and has an outer edge and an inner edge, whereby the valve element is fastened at the outer edge, the inner edge forms the boundary of an indentation of the valve element, and the inhalation valve has a valve body seat that corresponds to the inner edge.
Medicinal device with container
The invention relates to a hand-held medicinal device, particularly a nebulizer, for delivering a liquid medicament preparation from a container having a container cap. The medicament preparation may be based for example on an alcoholic solvent or may contain a similar substance with an increased vapor pressure. The proposed nebulizer with the installed container comprises a sealing system made up of two seals at the junction between the device and container, which prevent loss of liquid, diffusion leaks and exchange of gases with the environment at this point.
NEBULIZER
A nebulizer for nebulizing a liquid from a container is proposed. The nebulizer comprises a liquid pump for withdrawing the liquid in doses from the container and pressurizing the respective doses for nebulization. The nebulizer comprises in addition an air pump for temporarily pressurizing the liquid in the container to help withdrawing the liquid from a collapsible bag in the container.
