CLEANING ENGINE INTAKE VALVES AND SURROUNDING INTAKE AREAS

Systems and methods provide for cleaning the air intake valves and surrounding areas of an engine. A gravity-fed cleaning-fluid dispenser may feed cleaning fluid into a hose through a metered device that meters a rate at which the cleaning fluid flows into the hose. A second fluid meter connected to a distal end of the hose further meters the rate at which a mixture of the cleaning fluid and air from is dispersed into the running GDI engine. Cleaning fluid may be distributed to the engine at a gradually decreasing rate as a volume of cleaning fluid in the dispenser decreases as the service progresses.

Device and method for cleaning containers

Cleaning arms for cleaning containers are disclosed that can be used for transportation of food, medical, and/or pharmaceutical products. In some embodiments, a container cleaning arm comprises a main body and rotatable head for cleaning a container interior surface. The main body comprises a proximate end configured for engaging with a motorized drive and a distal end rotatably coupled to the rotatable head. The rotatable head comprises a first washing nozzle or group of washing nozzles and a first air knife dryer positioned adjacent to the first group of washing nozzles.

Bottle cap thread rinsing system

Systems and methods for rinsing beverage residue from a mechanical interface between threads of a bottle and threads of a bottle cap is described. The bottle cap may include a sealable coating to create a seal against a rim of the bottle. The bottle cap may also include passages to allow pressurized water to be injected into an upper inner region of the bottle cap. The pressurized water is prevented from entering the bottle due to the seal between the rim of the bottle and the sealable coating of the bottle cap. Therefore, the pressurized water is caused to escape through the mechanical thread interface toward a lower inner region of the bottle cap where the water escapes from the cap at atmospheric pressure.

A container-treatment machine includes a rotatable transport element having container holders and arranged to be pivotable by a pivoting device about a horizontal axis to pivot the container holders between feeding and treatment positions. In the feeding position, container openings of containers held by the container holders point upward. In the treatment position, they point downward. A pivot drive pivots the pivot arm, which holds the transport element so that it is rotatable by a rotary drive.
