Appliance for heat treatment and method for operating the appliance
An appliance for heat treatment or inductive heating or cooling of shrink chucks for shaft-type tools or a shrinkage appliance or cooling appliance or shrinkage appliance with a cooling appliance, includes a receiving device or opening receiving a shrink chuck, a heat treatment unit surrounding the receiving device relative to a central axis, an induction coil arrangement or cooling unit, and a measuring unit for temperature measurement of the shrink chuck. For exactly measuring shell temperatures of chucks in receiving openings, the measuring unit has temperature sensors around the receiving device or one temperature sensor inclined around the central axis for contactless detection of the shell temperature, or the measuring unit has sensors around the receiving device including a first temperature sensor for contactless detection of a shell temperature, and a different type of second sensor for detecting another property of the shrink chuck in the receiving device.
Shrink fitting system
A task of insertion of a tool is continued even when the insertion of the tool is failed in a shrink fitting method. A shrink fitting system for shrink-fitting a tool to a holder includes: a heating device that heats the holder; an insertion device that inserts the tool into the heated holder; and a control device for the shrink fitting system. The insertion device includes a sensor that detects a failure of insertion of the tool into the holder. Based on the failure of the insertion of the tool into the holder being detected, the control device performs at least one of outputting, to the insertion device, a command for adjusting an insertion position of the tool or for replacing the tool and outputting, to the heating device, a command for re-heating the holder.
Apparatus for cooling and/or drying a shrink chuck and method for cooling and/or drying a tool holder, in particular a shrink chuck
An apparatus cools and/or dries a shrink chuck and a method cools and/or dries a tool holder. The apparatus has a cooling attachment which can be fitted over the shrink chuck with the lower end thereof. In the region of the lower end of the cooling attachment guiding elements are arranged such that a first cooling fluid flow can be guided into an interior, which can receive the shrink chuck, of the cooling attachment while producing a turbulent flow which can be brought about by the guiding elements. In the method, the tool holder is dried and/or cooled by a first cooling fluid flow from a first cooling fluid. The first cooling fluid flow flows in the form of a turbulent flow axially in the direction of a tool receiving opening of the tool holder along the tool holder.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR SHRINK-FITTING AND REMOVING TOOL SHANKS IN AND FROM THE SLEEVE SECTION OF A TOOL HOLDER IN A MANNER PROTECTED AGAINST OVERHEATING
A method operates a shrink-fitting device having an induction coil for heating the sleeve section of a tool holder while avoiding temperatures that are detrimental to the sleeve section. Provision is made for a plurality of different characteristic variables of the induction process that change during heating, in particular if the sleeve section reaches a critical temperature, to be monitored, and for heating of the sleeve to be ended if at least one of the characteristic variables exceeds a previously defined limit value.
