The present invention relates to guide lip (1) designed to be connected with an articulated point of attachment to a fishing lure or similar including a spoon-shaped body (2), one first attachment device (3) and one second attachment device (4), forming a conceived axle (6), and that the guide lip includes a first wing and a second wing which during movement of the guide lip through the water essentially directs the water in the direction toward a water conveying edge (9) positioned on the guide lip's top part above the conceived axle, or bottom part below the conceived axle. The angle between a line (16) that is parallel with the said conceived axle (6) and a line that stretches from the water conveying edge and through a position (13) on the guide lip's front side that lies on one-third the distance between the water conveying edge and the guide lip's opposite edge (10), as seen from the water conveying edge, is greater than 90 degrees. The present invention provides the possibility of creating wobblers, bait holders and spoon lures with a loosely connected guide lip.

The blade is designed to translate blade oscillation into effective cyclic motion of an associated fishing lure assembly.

The present invention discloses a fishing lure having a body and a means for skimming. The means for skimming comprises a strike plate arranged on an underside of the body and configured to provide a force bearing lower surface for communicating with the surface of a water body for providing improved fluid dynamic characteristics of the lure when in use. The lure may be a unitary item or assembled together by joining the body to the means for skimming.

A concave, flat, or convex metal, plastic, or composite bodied lure with somewhat pointed and similar ends and a jig hook which extends through the center of the body and is connected in a channel that proceeds to the rear, causing the lure to suspend in a horizontal position and produce a variety of attractive movements when the rod is jigged vertically or otherwise manipulated.

A lure design with a substantially flat body that mimics the silhouette of fish/prey. The substantially flat body may be attached (or be attachable to) a thicker/three-dimensional head. Because the body of the lure is substantially flat, the overall weight compared to an equivalently sized (length and width) swimbait is lower. Additionally, since the lure has a thicker head, the motion of the lure through the water may mimic the movement of live prey. The head component may be modular and may be replaced or swapped with a different head component. The disclosed designs may allow for the action of a swimbait style lure but offering a similar weight and size of a teaser with the silhouette of a fish.

A user-configurable fishing lure is provided allowing the user to customize movement of the lure when pulled through water by an attached fishing line. A slot communicating through the body of the lure at a second end defines two bendable portions of the body on opposing sides of the slot. User bending of one or both of the bendable portions to different bent configurations will impart differing oscillating and spinning and other movements to the lure when pulled through the water.
