WELDING OF CAN BODIES
Apparatus for controlling a welding station used for welding seams extending along cylindrical can bodies, the welding station comprising a pair of welding rolls and a calibration unit for causing a desired cylinder overlap during welding. The calibration unit is adjustable along at least three different adjustment axes. The apparatus comprises: a weld monitor configured to monitor welded seams and provide an electrical signal indicative of weld thickness at a series of predetermined points along the seam length; a controller configured to receive said signal and to generate one or more control signals; and adjustment mechanisms for coupling to the calibration unit, or forming part of the calibration unit. The adjustment mechanisms are configured to receive the signal(s) and to be responsive thereto to adjust the calibration unit relative to one or more of said three adjustment axes, to provide the desired cylinder overlap and/or a desired weld quality.
Fabrication layout device and method
Techniques and devices are disclosed for fabrication layout device. The device includes a table with a work surface. The work surface being a continuous surface and configured to support a plurality of railing pieces for fabrication of a railing assembly. The device further includes a beam located above the work surface. The beam is operatively coupled to the table, such that the beam moves relative to the work surface in a first direction. Attached to the beam is an ink dispenser. The ink dispenser is configured to move along the beam in a second direction different from the first direction. The ink dispenser is further configured to dispense ink onto the work surface of the table in the form of a pattern of the railing assembly. Railing pieces are positioned on the pattern so that they can be assembled to one another.
LASER WELDING DEVICE AND LASER WELDING METHOD
This laser irradiation mechanism includes a control unit which has a function allowing the focal point of a laser beam to describe a circle, performs control such that the focal point describes a spiral, and performs control such that the central axis of the spiral moves along a curved surface.
ELECTRICAL AND/OR ELECTRONIC COMPONENT AND CONTACT SYSTEM
An electrical and/or electronic component including at least one electrical outside connecting contact. This contact is a terminal lug, which is attached at one side, for the electrical contacting with a contacting partner. The terminal lug includes a connecting side including a planar connecting surface for the electrical contacting. The exposed end of the terminal lug includes a bending leg, which is bent out of the plane by a compensating angle toward the connecting side. The bending leg includes the connecting surface. The terminal lug is designed such that, when a contacting partner, which is planar at least in this area, makes site contact with the free end of the bending leg with a force applied from the connecting side, a position orientation of the connecting surface is adaptable counter to the compensating angle until a gap-free contact is made between the connecting surface and the planar contacting partner.
Method for manufacturing rack bar
A method for manufacturing a rack bar having a first rack and a second rack is provided. The first and second racks have an angular positional difference around an axis of the rack bar. The method includes forming a first flat surface and a second flat surface on an outer circumference of a single hollow shaft member, with the angular positional difference being provided between the first and second flat surfaces, and forming the first rack on the first flat surface and the second rack on the second rack surface by press-fitting one or more mandrels into the hollow shaft member in a state in which one or more teeth dies corresponding to the first rack and the second rack is pressed against the first flat surface and the second flat surface.
Frame assembly for a vehicle
A vehicle frame assembly has a first frame member defining a first frame member axis and a slot and having a first frame member connection portion adjacent the slot. A second frame member defining a second frame member axis has a projection and a second frame member connection portion adjacent thereto. The projection is received in the slot. The first frame member connection portion is connected to the second frame member connection portion to form a connection region in which the second frame member axis is disposed at a non-zero angle to the first frame member axis in the connection region. The method of assembling the frame includes inserting the projection into the slot, contacting the connection portions to each other to form the connection region with the members being positioned for connection with their axes disposed at a non-zero angle to each other, and connecting the connection portions.
Soldering Block for LED Tape Light
A soldering block for holding two electrical components in contact or proximity to facilitate their connection, such as by soldering. The soldering block utilizes a pair of fixation elements, such as spring tensioned clamps, to hold the first and second electrical elements in place, conveniently acting as a third hand for the electrician. The soldering block is especially well suited to connecting wires to the terminals of LED tape strip.
Device for positioning vehicle parts
A device for positioning motor vehicle parts in the production or manufacture of motor vehicles. The device includes a main frame, at least one main module configured to be disposed on the main frame, at least one interchangeable first docking plate configured for releasable connection to the main module, and a plurality of first receptacles, arranged on the interchangeable first docking plate, configured to hold the motor vehicle parts at a predefined position during the production.
Welding device positioning arrangement
A welding device with which two components can be pressed against each other comprises a static first section and a second section movable relative to the first section. At least one drive system is connected at a first end to the first section and at a second end to the second section, as well as at least one elastic guiding system by which the first section and the second section are connected to one another. The first section and the second section are movable relative to each other along only one axis due to at least one elastic guiding system, so that an axial length of the arrangement can be varied. A moving coil drive may be used or another drive without mechanical losses or with mechanical losses less than a clamping force to be applied during operation.
Apparatus and Method for Butt-Welding Workpieces
A butt-welding device and a method for butt welding workpieces, especially for double-upset resistance-pressure butt-welding of workpieces, particularly wires, strands and profiles, has first and second clamping members for receiving the ends of the workpieces that are to be joined. At least one clamping means can be moved between a starting position and a welding position. At least one deburring tool is provided for deburring the welded workpiece ends. In addition, at least one sensor is provided to determine the geometric dimensions of the workpieces that are to be joined, especially the diameter, the width or the height in the joining plane or substantially parallel thereto, wherein a control unit controls the movement of the clamping members and/or of the deburring tool as a function of the geometric dimension.
