Method for Composite Flow Molding
An apparatus for molding a part includes a plunger cavity, a plunger, and a mold cavity, wherein the plunger is oriented out-of-plane with respect to a major surface of the mold cavity, and first and second vents couples to respective first and second portions of the mold cavity. In a method, resin and fiber are forced into the mold cavity from a plunger cavity, and at least some of the fibers and resin are preferentially flowed to certain region in the mold cavity via the use of vents.
FEEDING DEVICE FOR INJECTION MOLDING MACHINE AND FEEDING METHOD USING THE FEEDING DEVICE
A feeding device for an injection molding machine adapted to feed a plastic material includes a bin unit, a valve unit and a conveying unit. The bin unit has an intake space and first and second spaces arranged sequentially along a path. The conveying unit has a mixer space communicating with the second space and includes a screw rod rotating therein to extrude the plastic material out of the mixer space while gases in the plastic material are pumped out through a gas discharge channel. The valve unit includes first and second valves which are respectively disposed between the intake and first spaces and between the first and second spaces, and are alternately movable to a close position to provide an airtight seal upstream of the mixer space.
FEEDING DEVICE FOR INJECTION MOLDING MACHINE AND FEEDING METHOD USING THE FEEDING DEVICE
A feeding device for an injection molding machine adapted to feed a plastic material includes a bin unit, a valve unit and a conveying unit. A method of forming a thin-walled skin includes coating at least one side of a mold cavity of a molding tool, evacuating air from the mold cavity, and filling the mold cavity with a molten polymeric resin. Among other optional variations of the disclosed method, an inert gas is injected into the molten polymeric resin simultaneously with the step of filling the mold cavity with a molten polymeric resin. As a result, high quality, large, thin-walled skins are produced by the teachings of the present disclosure.
Process for molding thin-walled skins
A method of forming a thin-walled skin includes coating at least one side of a mold cavity of a molding tool, evacuating air from the mold cavity, and filling the mold cavity with a molten polymeric resin. Among other optional variations of the disclosed method, an inert gas is injected into the molten polymeric resin simultaneously with the step of filling the mold cavity with a molten polymeric resin. As a result, high quality, large, thin-walled skins are produced by the teachings of the present disclosure.

A plasticizing unit and/or injection unit for a molding machine with an injection cylinder for plasticized material, at least one degassing opening, and a degassing device in flow connection with the at least one degassing opening for releasing and discharging undesired gases from the plasticized material. The degassing device has a flow element, in flow connection with the at least one degassing opening, which is formed to generate a negative pressure by the Venturi effect at the degassing opening, and/or the degassing device has a filter device, in flow connection with the at least one degassing opening, for filtering gases being released.
PLASTICIZING UNIT AND/OR AN INJECTION UNIT FOR A MOLDING MACHINE
A plasticizing unit and/or injection unit for a molding machine with an injection cylinder for plasticized material, at least one degassing opening, and a degassing device in flow connection with the at least one degassing opening for releasing and discharging undesired gases from the plasticized material. The degassing device has a flow element, in flow connection with the at least one degassing opening, which is formed to generate a negative pressure by the Venturi effect at the degassing opening, and/or the degassing device has a filter device, in flow connection with the at least one degassing opening, for filtering gases being released.
Resin molded product and molding device
A transparent resin molded product and a mold for molding the product are provided in which occurrence of silver streak in the resin molded product is prevented. The resin molded product includes a design portion and a non-design portion, at least a part of the design portion is molded by transparent resin, and a gate trace (a gate arrangement position during the resin molding) is disposed in the non-design portion (runner portion). A foreign matter restraining portion for restraining foreign matters and bubbles contained in the transparent resin is disposed in the vicinity of the gate trace of the non-design portion. The foreign matters and bubbles are restrained by the foreign matter restraining portion and are prevented from flowing to the design portion, and therefore the occurrence of silver streak on the design portion can be prevented.
Resin molded product and molding device
A transparent resin molded product and a mold for molding the product are provided in which occurrence of silver streak in the resin molded product is prevented. The resin molded product includes a design portion and a non-design portion, at least a part of the design portion is molded by transparent resin, and a gate trace (a gate arrangement position during the resin molding) is disposed in the non-design portion (runner portion). A foreign matter restraining portion for restraining foreign matters and bubbles contained in the transparent resin is disposed in the vicinity of the gate trace of the non-design portion. The foreign matters and bubbles are restrained by the foreign matter restraining portion and are prevented from flowing to the design portion, and therefore the occurrence of silver streak on the design portion can be prevented.
