METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR PROCESSING MIXED TEXTILE FEEDSTOCK, ISOLATING CONSTITUENT MOLECULES, AND REGENERATING CELLULOSIC AND POLYESTER FIBERS
Methods and systems of the present invention use mixed textile feedstock, which may include post-consumer waste garments, scrap fabric and/or other textile materials as a raw feed material to produce isolated cellulose and other isolated molecules having desirable properties that can be used and be used in the textile and apparel industries, and in other industries. A multi-stage process is provided, in which mixed textile feed material is subjected to one or more pretreatment stages, followed by at least two pulping treatments for isolating cellulose molecules and other molecular constituents, such as polyester. The isolated cellulose and polyester molecules may be used in a variety of downstream applications. In one application, isolated cellulose and polyester molecules are extruded to provide regenerated cellulose fibers and regenerated polyester fibers having desirable (and selectable) properties that are usable in various industrial applications, including textile production.
APPARATUS, SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AN ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING PRINT HEAD
The disclosure is of and includes at least an apparatus, system and method for a print head for additive manufacturing. The apparatus, system and method may include at least two proximate hobs suitable to receive and extrude therebetween a print material filament for the additive manufacturing, each of the two hobs comprising two halves, wherein each of the hob halves comprises teeth that are offset with respect to the teeth of the opposing hob half; a motor capable of imparting a rotation to at least one of the two hobs, wherein the extrusion results from the rotation; and an interface to a hot end capable of outputting the print material filament after at least partial liquification to perform the additive manufacturing.

FIBER-CONTAINING PARTICLES WITH DUAL-TAPERED SHAPE
Recycled carbon fibers are processed by rotational tumbling in a mixture with binder material to prepare fiber-containing particles having a dual-tapered shape and general alignment of fibers with a longitudinal direction of the particles. Bulk products including such fiber-containing particles are compounded with polymer and pelletized to prepare fiber-reinforced composite pellets, which are useful for applications such as injection molding to prepare molded products of carbon fiber-reinforced composite material with recycled carbon fibers.
Selective attachment of a yarn structure
A method and system are disclosed. A method of printing onto a base having an upper surface spaced from a lower surface by a base thickness includes dispensing a yarn from a nozzle of a printing system and selectively attaching the yarn to a first attachment region. The step of dispensing the yarn includes dispensing a heat-moldable material and a melt-resistant material. The step of selectively attaching the yarn to the first attachment region includes moving the nozzle into the first attachment region. The step of moving the nozzle into the first attachment region reduces the base thickness by a prodding distance. The heat-moldable material bonds to the first attachment region.

The extruder system includes an extruder head with flow channels for receiving an extrusion material from an extruder, a die for receiving the extrusion material from the flow channels, and a cord guide for guiding cords side-by-side in a cord plane into the die. The extruder head is provided with an insertion slot that extends in an insertion direction parallel to the cord plane through the extruder head. The flow channels debouch into the insertion slot at a flow area. The insertion slot is arranged for receiving the die and the cord guide in the insertion direction into a die position downstream of the flow area and a cord guide position upstream of the flow area, respectively, with respect to the insertion direction.
