An extrusion device including at least one extruder having a screw cylinder, a screw shaft rotatably supported in the screw cylinder and an extruder outlet, an injection mould having an outlet nozzle determining the cross-sectional contour of the extruder, and an extrusion head arranged between the extruder outlet of the at least one extruder and the outlet nozzle of the injection mould, wherein at least one perforated plate arranged in the extruder head is provided, which has a plurality of passage openings, wherein the passage openings are designed to dam up extrusion material conveyed from the at least one extruder through the passage openings of the perforated plate differently into at least one first region of the perforated plate and at least one second region of the perforated plate, in such a way that the extrusion material is partly diverted from its preferential direction within a central section of the perforated plate, specifically increasingly into at least one edge section of the perforated plate.

The manifold plate includes: a first plate side and a second plate side, a distribution groove incorporated in the first plate side and extending in a plate plane of the first plate side, and at least one connecting channel adjoining the distribution groove, which is worked into the manifold plate and ends at an outlet opening in the second plate side. The manifold plate is characterized in that the at least one connecting channel is milled into the manifold plate and, in the flow direction, has a course which is curved at least in sections towards the second plate side. A manifold, an extrusion assembly and a method for manufacturing a manifold plate are also disclosed.

A resin sheet having hairlike bodies arranged regularly on at least one surface of an underlayer can be manufactured by forming the bodies by: melt extruding, from a die with an extrusion molding method, a thermoplastic resin having, on a log-log graph having elongational viscosity (t) (unit: Pa.Math.S) as measured at a strain rate of 0.5 (unit: S1) and at a temperature at which elongation is possible as the vertical axis and elongation time t (unit: S) as the horizontal axis, a region in which the slope (log /log t) in the interval 0.1<t<1.0 is no greater than 0.5 and by the temperature range wherein the adhesive force in probe tack measurement is 0.05-0.25 N/mm2 at least partially overlapping with the temperature at which elongation is possible; and casting using a transfer roll on which a relief process has been performed and a touch roll.
Film with layered segments and apparatus and method for making the same
A film having first segments and second segments arranged across the film's width direction is disclosed. The first and second segments are separated from each other by polymer interfaces. The first segments include a first polymeric composition and the second segments include a second polymeric composition. At least some of the second segments are layered second segments having first and second layers in the film's thickness direction, and one of the first or second layers includes a third polymeric composition different from the second polymeric composition. An extrusion die useful for making the film and a method for making the film using the extrusion die are also disclosed.
COEXTRUDED SOLAR PANEL BACKSHEET AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
An improved backsheet used in the construction of solar panels is disclosed. A method of manufacturing the backsheet and solar panel comprising the backsheet, including coextrusion processes are also disclosed. Additionally, a photovoltaic solar panel module comprising the backsheet is disclosed. The backsheet may comprise an exterior layer, a middle layer, and an interior layer. The exterior layer, middle layer, and interior layer may be adjoined, adhered, or affixed via a co-extrusion process, thereby eliminating the need for the use of adhesives for bonding the layers of the backsheet together. There is also disclosed a backsheet which may comprise an exterior layer, an intermediate exterior layer, a middle layer, an intermediate interior layer, and an interior layer. The exterior layer, intermediate exterior layer, middle layer, intermediate interior layer, and interior layer may be adjoined, adhered, or affixed via a co-extrusion process, thereby eliminating the need for the use of adhesives for bonding the layers of the backsheet together. The backsheets improve upon the efficiency, strength, weather resistance, cost, and useful life of the solar panels in which the backsheets are incorporated.
MULTILAYER POLYMERIC STRUCTURES
A multilayer composite structure is disclosed. The multilayer composite structure has at least one polymer-based cap layer containing, for example, an acrylic, styrenic or acrylonitrile polymer and at least one polyester-based inner or substrate layer. Also disclosed are methods of forming the multilayer composite structure to improve and control the level of adhesion between the layers. Optional tie layers can be used to improve and control the level of adhesion between the layers. An optional exterior layer over the cap layer can contain polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) polymers. The multilayer composite structure combines the attributes of both polymersthe high UV stability, scratch resistance, and excellent appearance of the polymer-based outer cap layer and the strength and impact resistance of the polyester-based interior layer.
