Bottle with extended neck finish and method of making same
A blow molded synthetic resin bottle has a body and an elongated neck with the body providing a shoulder extending about the base of the neck. The neck has a first collar extending thereabout spaced adjacent the shoulder and at least one additional collar extending thereabout adjacent the upper end of the neck. The resin in the neck is substantially unoriented. To produce the bottle, a synthetic resin preform is injection molded with a generally tubular body and the elongated neck. This preform is placed in a blow mold cavity having a body receiving portion and a neck receiving portion that has a recess extending thereabout seating the first collar therein. The additional collar is disposed outwardly of the mold cavity and is disposed on the upper surface of the mold.
Methods for aseptic packaging of low-acid foods
The present disclosure relates to methods of maintaining sterility of an aseptic work zone of a blow-fill seal operation so that low acid foods may be aseptically processed and packaged. The methods of the present disclosure further provide for maintain the sterility of the aseptic work zone such that the aseptic work zone does not have to be enclosed in a separate sterile environment during the blow fill seal process. The methods of the present disclosure further provide a sterilization procedure that is compliant with FDA regulations related to the aseptic packaging of low acid food products. Further disclosed, are methods for producing a hermetically sealed container containing a low acid food product.
Biaxial stretching and blow molding device
A biaxial stretch blow molding device comprises: a first guide shaft 57 which is erected on an upper base 51 and to which a blow core fixing member 54 is slidably coupled; a second guide shaft 67 erected on the stretch rod fixing member 56; a support member 59 fixed to the first guide shaft 57 and provided with a guide hole 68 through which the second guide shaft 67 is slidably inserted; a first drive device 63 that moves the blow core fixing member 54 forward and backward independently of the stretch rod fixing member 56; and a second drive device 70 that moves the stretch rod fixing member 56 forward and backward independently of the blow core fixing member 54.
REDUCED MATERIAL CONTAINER AND METHOD OF FORMING SAME
Systems and methods for making a reduced material container are provided that hold a preform adjacent to an open end of the preform, stretch the preform, close a mold about the stretched preform to form a truncated preform, and introduce a pressurized fluid into the truncated preform to expand the truncated preform and form the reduced material container. A stretch rod can be inserted into the preform to mechanically stretching the preform. The mold accepts the preform at a first end thereof, has an open state and a closed state, and the closed state forms a cavity defining an internal surface having a second end located remotely from the first end. A first length is defined by a distance between the first end and the second end, the stretch rod mechanically stretching the preform to a second length, the second length being greater than the first length.
INJECTION-BLOW-MOULDING MOULD AND METHOD
The injection-blow-moulding mould comprises: a punch (1) having a blow opening (3) connected to a first conduit (5) which is in communication with a first source of pressurised gas supply (6) configured to supply pressurised gas through the blow opening (3) at an overpressure (OP) above a blowing pressure (BP) suitable to blow a preform (30a) into a container (30b) and an exhaust opening (4) connected to a second conduit (7) which is in communication with a pressure-limiting device set at the blowing pressure (BP); a blow-moulding cavity (2) configured to receive therein the punch (1) with a hot and soft preform (30a) arranged thereon; and a cooling device associated to the blow-moulding cavity (2). Gas inside the container (30b) exceeding the blowing pressure (BP) is allowed to escape through the exhaust opening (4) thereby a cooling gas stream is created from the blow opening (3) to the exhaust opening.

A method of manufacturing a composite container. The method includes providing a paper label, and a preform; providing a molding die equipped with a closed, cylindrical lower mold and an upper mold composed of a plurality of split-mold segments; arranging the paper label in the lower mold; arranging the preform between opened split-mold segments; moving one or both of the lower mold with the paper label and the upper mold with the preform in a direction towards each other to close the molding die; implementing blow-molding on the preform in the molding die; and opening the molding die to release the composite container.
Resin container manufacturing device and manufacturing method
There is provided a resin container manufacturing apparatus configured to stretch a preform disposed in a stretch blow molding mold by a stretching rod and stretch the preform by introducing blow air into the preform so as to form a resin container.
