Systems and methods for controlling the operation of a blow molder are disclosed. An indication of a crystallinity of at least one container produced by the blow molder may be received along with a material distribution of the at least one container. A model may be executed, where the model relates a plurality of blow molder input parameters to the indication of crystallinity and the material distribution and where a result of the model comprises changes to at least one of the plurality of blow molder input parameters to move the material distribution towards a baseline material distribution and the crystallinity towards a baseline crystallinity. The changes to the at least one of the plurality of blow molder input parameters may be implemented.
Method for producing plastics containers
The invention relates to a method for producing plastics containers (15) from thermoplastics with inserts (13) which, by exploiting the heat of plasticization, are connected during shaping of the plastics container (15) by a material bond and/or interlocking connection to the container wall (140), wherein the method provides the use of at least one opening (26) on the insert (13), which opening forms a melt duct or melt inlet and/or melt passage for plasticized or plastic material of the container wall (140), wherein the method is distinguished in that the opening (26) is monitored as a reference opening (26) by optical and/or sensory means during the production of the connection, wherein the degree of penetration of the opening (26) with thermoplastic from the container wall (140) is used as a measure of the quality of the connection.
Blow molder control systems and methods
Systems and methods for controlling the operation of a blow molder are disclosed. An indication of a crystallinity of at least one container produced by the blow molder may be received along with a material distribution of the at least one container. A model may be executed, where the model relates a plurality of blow molder input parameters to the indication of crystallinity and the material distribution and where a result of the model comprises changes to at least one of the plurality of blow molder input parameters to move the material distribution towards a baseline material distribution and the crystallinity towards a baseline crystallinity. The changes to the at least one of the plurality of blow molder input parameters may be implemented.
METHOD FOR CONTROLLING A CONTAINER TREATMENT SYSTEM, AND DEVICE COMPRISING A CONTAINER TREATMENT SYSTEM AND A CONTROL DEVICE FOR CARRYING OUT THE METHOD
The disclosure relates to a method for controlling a container treatment system, for example a blow molding machine, for producing containers from preforms, wherein the method comprises: providing a main agent comprising a plurality of sub-agents, each sub-agent being assigned to a container type or a preform, a target parameter set for controlling the container treatment system and a group of target values for a controlled variable being provided for each sub-agent; carrying out a determination of a characteristic of a preform; evaluating a result of the determination and automatically selecting a corresponding sub-agent from the plurality of sub-agents based on the evaluation; and using the corresponding sub-agent for controlling the container treatment system. The disclosure further relates to a device comprising a container treatment system and a control device for carrying out the method.
Method and apparatus for producing plastic containers
Plastic preformed having a main body, a mouth, and a support ring, are transported along a predetermined transport path and heated using at least one heating device, and, subsequently, the heated plastic preforms are transported to a forming device for forming plastic preforms into plastic containers and are formed into the plastic containers by applying a flowable medium, wherein at least one value is determined using an inspection device, which value is characteristic of at least one physical and in particular geometric property of a support ring of a plastic preform and/or of a plastic container, and at least one treatment parameter of the heating device and/or of the forming device is controlled taking this value into account.

A method for forming a preform or part including the following: dispensing an initial amount of an additive and a thermoplastic resin into an injection molding machine; forming the preform or part by operating a molding machine to inject the thermoplastic resin and the additive at the initial amount into a mold of the preform or part; measuring realized visual parameters of the preform or part; comparing the realized visual parameters to the target visual parameters and determining whether the realized visual parameters are within a predetermined acceptable range of the target visual parameters; if the realized visual parameters are outside the predetermined acceptable range of the target visual parameters, adjusting the initial amount of the additive to a modified amount estimated to achieve the target visual parameters; and forming an additional preform or part by operating the injection molding machine to inject the thermoplastic resin and the additive at the modified amount into the mold of the preform or part.

A method and apparatus for shaping plastic preforms into plastic containers, wherein at least three different pressure stages are applied to the plastic preforms in order to expand them, wherein the pressure stages are provided by at least three different compressed-air reservoirs, and wherein, additionally, the plastic preforms are stretched in their longitudinal direction by stretching rods, wherein compressed air is returned at least at times from the plastic containers to at least one compressed-air reservoir, and at least one value characteristic of the consumption of compressed air is detected.
