OPTIMIZED RIB-STIFFENED COMPOSITE STRUCTURE
A rib-stiffened composite structure includes a composite face sheet having a continuous reinforcing fiber in a polymer matrix. A polymer core is in a grid pattern disposed on the composite face sheet, the grid pattern having a first series of paths crossing over a second series of paths. Material voids are formed in the spaces between the series of paths. A composite rib-cap is disposed upon an upper surface of the polymer core. The composite rib-cap includes a continuous reinforcing fiber in a polymer matrix. The fibers of the continuous reinforcing fiber of the polymer matrix of the composite rib cap are oriented in a direction along the first and second series of paths of the grid pattern of the extruded polymer core.
FLOOR PANEL
A floor panel with a substrate, including thermoplastic material, a decor provided thereon, and, on at least one pair of opposite edges, coupling parts realized at least partially from the substrate. The coupling parts allow a mechanical locking between two of such floor panels, where the substrate includes a rigid, non-foamed substrate layer of thermoplastic material.
MOULD AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A SWIMMING POOL OR SWIMMING POND OR THE LIKE
A method for manufacturing a preformed swimming pool or swimming pond, the method includes at least the steps of providing a mould and providing the mould on the convex side with a first plastic layer which is supplied in powder form and heated and applied on the convex side of the mould.
Method for producing a leak-tight vessel, and a leak-tight vessel
The present invention describes a method for producing a leak-tight vessel for holding a gas and/or liquid, comprising the steps of winding a heat-sealable thermoplastic barrier strip around a removable mandrel in such a way that each strip fragment overlaps with a substantially parallel strip fragment over at least a lateral overlapping distance, consolidating the overlapping strip fragments so as to form a gas and/or liquid tight layer, winding a fibrous material around the gas and/or liquid tight layer, thereby leaving an opening large enough for removing the mandrel. The invention also describes a leak-tight vessel produced in this way.
Hockey blade with pin-reinforced core
A construct for a hockey blade that includes a foam core. The foam core includes a first core face, a second core face, and a bottom core edge and a top core edge. Multiple pins are injected into the foam core, and one or more layers of resin preimpregnated tape are wrapped around the foam before forming a hockey blade structure in a heated mold.
Method of shaping composite blade
Provided is a method of shaping a composite blade made of a composite material by curing prepreg in which reinforcing fibers are impregnated with resin. A foaming agent disposed in an internal space of the composite blade contains a plurality of foaming bodies and foaming agent resin. The foaming bodies foam by being heated. The foaming agent resin cures by being heated. The foaming bodies include low-temperature side foaming bodies and high-temperature side foaming bodies. The low-temperature side foaming bodies foam in a low temperature range during a curing step. The high-temperature side foaming bodies foam in a high temperature range corresponding to temperatures higher than the low temperature range during the curing step.
AEROSPACE STRUCTURE METHODS OF MANUFACTURING
Methods of manufacturing of aerospace structures are disclosed. More specifically, methods of manufacturing relatively lightweight yet strong aerospace structures. In one embodiment, the method includes the addition of a volume of a rigid and flexible polyurethane mixture into a mold to create a composite structure. In one aspect, the method includes the integration of special structures within a larger structure to remove traditionally structurally weak or vulnerable areas.
ELECTRICALLY DECOUPLED JET ENGINE
An electrically decoupled jet engine. The electrically decoupled jet engine includes a combustion chamber which creates a toroidal flow of air and a rotational electric motor which drives a fuel supply into the combustion chamber. The toroidal flow of air is mixed with the fuel and combusted in the combustion chamber to create thrust.
ALL NEW MULTI-PURPOSE INTERNALLY STIFFENED COMPOSITE WING SUB-PANEL
A panel including an outer face sheet; an inner face sheet; a foam disposed between the outer face sheet and the inner face sheet; and a core structure (e.g., a stringer comprising a hat structure) between the foam and the inner face sheet; and between the foam and the outer face sheet. The core structure is protected from impact damage and increases flexural stiffness of the panel on an aircraft wing.
Fiber reinforced plastic molded body
A fiber reinforced plastic molded body includes a layered body, a resin member, unidirectional fiber reinforced resins each constituted from a unidirectional continuous fiber, a matrix resin, and a woven fabric fiber reinforced resin of one or two or more layers, wherein when the layered body is divided into equal halves in its thickness direction, an amount of the resin member present in a region (R1) which is a side from a dividing center line whereon the woven fabric fiber reinforced resin is layered is referred to as Am1, and an amount of the resin member present in a region (R2) which is a side whereon the woven fabric fiber reinforced resin is not layered is referred to as Am2, Am2/Am1 is 2 to 25.
