Force is applied to bend the flex region of the viscosity compensation device and thereby adjust a gap height of the coextrusion conduit.
PROCESS FOR PREPARING A POLYOLEFIN COMPOSITION
A process for continuously preparing a polyolefin composition made from or containing a bimodal or multimodal polyolefin and one or more additives in an extruder device equipped with at least one hopper. The process includes the steps of supplying a bimodal or multimodal polyolefin in form of a polyolefin powder to the hopper; (a) measuring the flow rate of the polyolefin powder or (b) measuring the flow rate of the prepared polyolefin pellets; supplying one or more additives to the hopper; adjusting the flow rates of the additives supplied to the hopper in response to the measured flow rate of the polyolefin powder or adjusting the flow rate of the polyolefin powder in response to the measured flow rate of the polyolefin pellets; melting and homogenizing the polyolefin powder and additives within the extruder device; and pelletizing the molten polyolefin composition into the polyolefin pellets.
High-Fat and High-Protein Animal Feed Supplement and Process of Manufacture
A system according to various embodiments can include a source for supplying a material to be treated, an extruder, at least two screws, and a drive coupled to the screws for axially rotating the screws. The extruder includes an inlet for receiving the material, which is fed therein in a controlled manner. The screws are provided within the housing of the extruder. The screws have a plurality of compression and release stages that create mechanical heat which is directly applied to the material to change the mechanical properties of the material thereby facilitating a conversion of a physical state of the material from a non-compactable state to a compactable state as the screws rotate and move the material longitudinally along the screws to produce a final product, for example, a feed tub for use as an animal feed.
Method for manufacturing encapsulating material sheet for solar battery
A method for manufacturing an encapsulating material sheet for a solar battery of the invention includes a step of producing an additive-containing pellet by soaking an additive A into a pellet including a polyolefin-based resin as a main component, a step of injecting the additive-containing pellet into a cylinder from a supply opening in an extrusion molder, and melting and kneading a resin composition including the polyolefin-based resin and the additive A in the cylinder, and a step of molding by extrusion the resin composition from a die in the extrusion molder into a sheet shape.
TPS/PLA/PBAT BLEND MODIFIED BIODEGRADABLE RESIN PREPARED BY USING CHAIN EXTENDER AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF
A thermoplastic starch (TPS)/polylactic acid (PLA)/poly(butylene adipate-co -terephthalate) (PBAT) blend modified biodegradable resin is prepared by using a chain extender, and is prepared from the following raw materials: 20-30 parts by weight of TPS; 20-30 parts by weight of PLA; 40-60 parts by weight of PBAT; and 0.5-0.9 parts by weight of a chain extender KL-E. The preparation method is a two-step method: blending the TPS with the PBAT in a twin screw for granulating; mixing TPS/PBAT mixed granules with PLA granules, and dissolving the chain extender KL-E into an ethyl acetate solution. The chain extender KL-E can be uniformly distributed in PLA and TPS/PBAT mixed granules by using a spraying method, and the remaining short-chain molecules and terminal carboxyl molecules in the mixed granules can be changed into long-chain molecules.
MULTI-MATERIAL PRINTING DEVICE FOR ENERGY STORAGE AND CONVERSION APPLICATIONS
Various implementations include a coextrusion device including a first shim plate and a second shim plate coupled to the first shim plate. The first and second shim plates each have a first side, a second side opposite and spaced apart from the first side, a first end, and a second end opposite and spaced apart from the first end. The second end defines one or more outlet openings. A flow channel extends from each of the one or more outlet openings and extends along a centralized axis from the second end toward the first end. A central plane extends perpendicular to the first side and along each of the centralized axes of each shim plate. High performance cooling element
The present invention relates to an external cooling system for a molten film tube produced by a blown film tubular extrusion process. Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a unidirectional cooling element having a unidirectional cooling interface containing a cooling gas deflector spaced adjacent to the molten film tube. The unidirectional cooling element operably expels cooling gas in a path with the flow of the molten film tube toward an exit gap formed between the unidirectional cooling interface and the molten film tube. The minimum gap between the unidirectional cooling interface and the molten film tube occurs at the exit gap, and advantageously, the unidirectional cooling interface is provided with one or more compound angles to maximize stability and cooling efficiency.
