A method of manufacturing a tread for agricultural tires, the method comprising providing an agricultural tire casing, providing a cured rubber component having first and second planar surfaces, providing a plurality of cushion gums, wherein the plurality of cushion gums contains a cure system comprising a stable dinitrile oxide compound, providing a plurality of lugs, and forming an agricultural tread composite by mating the lugs to a planar surface of the cured rubber component using the cushion gum.

ARRANGEMENT APPLIED TO AN ENVELOPE FOR RETREADING TYRES

This invention provides an envelope configuration for retreading tires using a cold-retreading process. Envelopes formed by two parts are known in the prior art. However, the known sealing means between parts are not satisfactory, either due to sealing problems or due to decreasing the envelope useful life. In order to overcome these limitations, this invention provides an envelope (20) comprised of two parts (22, 24), in which an end region (224a) of a flap (224) of the first part (22) is covered by an end region (244a) of a flap (244) of the second part (24), or vice-versa, in order to form an overlapping joint, in which a free end of the flap (224) of the first part (22) has at least one differentiated cross section (224b) whose thickness is greater than that of the flap (224) of the first part (22), and in which the overlapping joint is covered by an elastic ring (26) that is wide enough to cover said differentiated cross section (224b).

CONFIGURATION APPLIED TO ENVELOPE FOR TiRE RETREADING

The invention proposes a configuration applied to envelope for tire retreading in a cold retreading process. In the state of the art, envelopes consisting of two parts are known. However, the known methods of sealing among the pieces are not satisfactory either due to sealing problems, or by reducing the useful life of the envelope. In order to overcome these limitations, the invention proposes an envelope (20) comprising three parts (22, 24, 26), in which a flap (224) of the first part (22) presents a free end with a differentiated cross-section (224b), in which a flap (244) of the second part (24) has a free end with a differentiated cross-section (244b) and in which the third part (26) presents a shape of an elastic ring with enough width to cover the differentiated cross-section (224b) of the flap (224) of the first part (22) and the differentiated cross-section (244b) of the flap (244) of the second part (24).

Envelope spreader system for enveloping a retreaded tire

An envelope spreader system includes a chassis having an opening, a linkage assembly comprising a plurality of links rotatably coupled to the chassis and extending into the opening, and an actuator operably coupled to the linkage assembly and configured to operate the linkage assembly between a first position and a second position. The plurality of links includes a primary link having a primary link first end rotatably coupled to the chassis at a first fixed pivot point and a primary link second end configured to operably engage a portion of a tire envelope and a secondary link having a secondary link first end rotatably coupled to the chassis at a second fixed pivot point and a secondary link second end configured to engage a portion the tire envelope.

ENVELOPE SPREADER SYSTEM FOR ENVELOPING A RETREADED TIRE

An envelope spreader system includes a chassis having an opening to receive a tire assembly, a primary link including a single elongated member rotatably coupled to the chassis at a first fixed pivot point and extending into the opening from a primary link first end to a primary link second end, a first engaging member coupled to the primary link second end and configured to engage a tire envelope at a location corresponding to the location of the primary link second end, a secondary link including a single elongated member rotatably coupled to the chassis at a second fixed pivot point and extending into the opening from a secondary link first end to a secondary link second end, and a second engaging member coupled to the secondary link second end and configured to engage the tire envelope at a location corresponding to the location of the secondary link second end.

Use of a moisture reservoir for retreading

A method of retreading a tire. The method includes the steps of applying a primer to an inner surface of a circumferential tread and applying the primer to an outer surface of a tire casing; applying an adhesive to the primer disposed on the inner surface and the primer disposed on the outer surface; applying the circumferential tread to the tire casing so the inner surface contacts the outer surface and a bondline edge forms circumferentially about the tire casing proximate to a shoulder area of the tire casing; and coupling a moisture reservoir to the circumferential tread proximate to the bondline edge.
