METHOD FOR PRODUCING A MILK-BASED PRODUCT
The invention relates to a method for producing a milk-based product, comprising the steps of: providing a milk raw material; altering a ratio of casein to total protein of the milk raw material to less than about 0.80; subjecting the milk raw material with the altered ratio of casein to total protein from step b) to a heat treatment at the temperature of at least about 150 C. for a period of at most about 0.3 sec; cooling the heat-treated milk raw material from step c) to provide the milk-based product. The method provides milk-based products with long shelf life and good organoleptic properties.
FORTIFIED MILK COMPOSITIONS AND THEIR PROCESSES OF PREPARATION
The present invention provides a novel process for preparing fortified milk compositions from whole mammalian milk. The process of the present invention generally involves converting dried mammalian milk into a fats-enriched fraction, a protein-enriched fraction, and a carbohydrate-enriched fraction. The process comprises treating the dried milk with a fats extracting agent to provide a fats-enriched fraction, and a residual fraction comprising proteins and carbohydrates; separating said fats-enriched fraction from the residual fraction; and removing the fats extracting agent from the separated fats-enriched fraction to produce a dry fraction of oily, fats-enriched material and a fraction enriched in proteins and carbohydrates.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING MILK LIKE PRODUCTS
A method for producing mammary gland cells and a method of producing a mammalian milk like product, for example a human milk like product comprising generating lactocytes derived from mammalian induced pluripotent stem cells (miPSC), for example human induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSC), and expressing the mammalian milk like product, for example the human milk like product from lactocytes.
HIGH FAT HUMAN MILK PRODUCTS
The disclosure features a human milk cream composition as well as methods of making a human milk cream composition and using a human milk cream composition. In particular, the disclosure features a method of using a human milk cream composition to raise the caloric content of human milk.

THAWING OF RAW MILK
A colostrum heating tub and a container for storing said colostrum therein, the colostrum heating tub adapted for holding a stationary pool of heating liquid and surrounding the container such that it is at least partly immersed in the heating liquid when positioned in the colostrum heating tub. The colostrum heating tub further contains a rack module for holding the container within the stationary pool of heating liquid, the rack module adapted for rotating around an axis such that at least the container can be rotated 360 degrees around the axis so the container is, at all times during 360 degree rotation around the axis, maintained in a fixed position with respect to the rack module and at least partly immersed in the stationary pool of heating liquid for even distribution of heat throughout the container to uniformly heat the colostrum.
INFANT FEED AND METHOD
The present disclosure relates generally to a composition for feeding an infant. More particularly, the disclosure relates to a nutritional composition for feeding an infant comprising a stem-cell deficient first component and a second component comprising breast milk stem cells (BSCs). The second component is added to the first component, and the BSCs partially or fully replenish the stem-cell deficient first component with respect to BSCs. In some embodiments the first component is stem-cell deficient human breast milk and the second component comprises BSCs from the infant's mother's own milk. The compositions of the present disclosure have been developed primarily as a personalized, nutritional composition providing the beneficial effects of an infant's mother's own BSCs to the infant while not being able to receive the full benefits of being breastfed directly.
The present disclosure also relates to a composition for feeding an infant and to processes of their production. In particular, the disclosure relates to a composition for feeding an infant comprising a first and a second component, wherein the first component provides the majority of the nutritional value to said composition, and wherein the second component comprises at least one live bacterium from human breast milk or the lactating human mammary gland. The disclosure has been developed primarily as a composition for feeding a mother's own infant, wherein the composition comprises processed human breast milk with a substantially reduced live bacterial cell count as compared to unprocessed breast milk but which at least one live bacterium, from the mother's own breast milk, is added such as to partially or fully replenish the processed human breast milk with respect to the at least one live bacterium. More particular, the composition is a personalised composition for feeding the mother's own preterm infant.
The present invention also related to the combination of BSC and bacterial replenishment as described herein.
Milk Filtration Devices and Methods for Filtering
A method of cleaning mother's milk, involving ex vivo contacting mother's milk having an initial concentration of an antidepressant therein with a solid substrate (preferably a porous substrate) adapted to remove the antidepressant from the milk to produce a cleansed milk product having a reduced concentration of the antidepressant.
DEVICE FOR PASTEURIZATION OF HUMAN MILK
A device for inactivating or reducing an amount of biological contaminants in human milk comprises an interior for taking in human milk to be treated in order to inactivate or reduce the amount of biological contaminants, and at least one UV lamp for irradiating the milk being in the interior in order to subject it to the treatment. The treatment is a first function of the device, wherein the device has a second function, the device being capable of fulfilling the first function at the same time as the second function, wherein the second function is one or more of milk expressing, milk collecting, milk storing, milk warming, milk feeding, milk processing and milk handling.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PREPARATION OF HUMAN MILK TO BE STORED
A method for preparation of human milk to be stored includes the steps of subjecting the human milk (M) to a treatment for inactivating or reducing an amount of biological contaminants in the human milk, freezing the human milk and forming flakes of the human milk, and collecting the frozen human milk flakes (F) in a container. This method and an according apparatus enable storing human milk for later use in a very small dose, i.e. in the form of pasteurized frozen milk flakes.
